Sark was a decent college QB coach 15 years ago. There is nothing else in his resume to suggest success will follow him here. People a certain age know his name because of his 2 seasons as qb at BYU and his association with USC and the Raiders. I don't think the guy can even recruit well. We'd be better off with an internal promotion.

I still don't even have a gut feeling. Seriously, not even a feeling of it being a no name googleme underwhelming choice. I have no clue. Except I don't think its Friend. Other than that, Johnny derp.

If it's anybody other than Friend how would it be advantageous for us to wait to name him? We named a HC while he was still coaching another team

I think it must be a position coach somewhere (unless they're about to be or have been fired - in which case who knows?). Why would an OC from a Power-5 come to UT if they already are an OC? If it is a position coach (QB or RB coach with Asst. OC title), what's the big deal about missing a bowl game if it could potentially knock you out of the running for the job? This is all very strange to me. It's as if CJP is going to "run the traps" with all available candidates and then announce that he found no one better than Friend.

I believe a mutual agreement to part ways will happen on 12/30/18 evening/night or 12/31/18 morning at which time the rumors will start with UT later confirming. Official announcement on 1/1/19.

Between Monday and Thursday of next week depending on if it's NFL guy or Bowl Game coach. As long as it's been and no more news of interviews or chatter no one honestly thinks Pruitt has no idea who his next OC is I hope. It can't stay this quiet and not be at least a handshake in place.
