Haha, I was waiting for that, didn't think it'd be you tho.

I was just helping a brother out, that's the last thing I know of that's been reported.
Enos is EXPECTED to be named at least Co-OC according to the Bama faithful. Saban has a couple of really good young recruiters that he would like to keep on staff but is likely playing the waiting game until their season actually finishes before making staff changes. He'll likely have to promote a few coaches from within to keep them. Enos has not been officially named OC at bama just yet.

You were clear. I said I don't know why Saban hasn't made Enos official yet.

Then I commented on your point that VN treats Pruitt like he doesn't have a clue while it seems Saban is doing the same thing.
Saban has earned the benefit of doubt, but it is weird he hasn’t named him yet.

Ohhh, that's what the article meant. Thanks dude. I don't know what I'd do without some of you.

I’ll be the first to come on here and eat crow. I initially thought this whole OC (or lack there of) would hurt us on early signing day/period. Looks like it didn’t.

But now that it’s over, when the heck is Pruitt gonna hire one, and who? These recruits must have known something, especially with signing plenty of players on offense.

It's gotta be a current College or NFL OC. Pruitt has told recruits the OC will have SEC Coaching experience. Some have speculated it could be Chaney. That's possible, but personally I think it's going to be Sarkisian. I've heard Freddy Kitchens name come up but he's doubtful because he's been given the Cleveland OC job permanently. I would imagine around January 2nd we will know. I feel confident he already has his guy and that it's an NFL guy. My money is on Sark, which would be a really good hire.

Houston plays in the Armed Forces Bowl at 3:30 Eastern today. I’m still very curious about the sudden disappearance of Kendal Briles from chatter, especially with regards to UT and FSU. I would think that by now, his renegotiated contract with Houston would have been announced. View attachment 184853

Brakes will be FSU's next OC and most likely taking his OLine Coach with him. Supposedly that was a sticking point with Pruitt. We already have our OLine Coach and a good one.

With this weekend ending some seasons for college and NFL, maybe we hear an announcement next week. But it wouldn't surprise me for this to drag out until February.

It's not getting drug out that long. Pruitt already has his guy. The NFL season ends next weekend as does the bowl games. We will know something that first week of January.

We don’t know if not having an OC hurt us in recruiting or not. We only know that we ended up top 15 (top 5 SEC).

All things considered though, Pruitt did really well.
It will be top 10 after February. And I will take this class (when completed) over several ranked higher.

I have zero insider info at all but I just have a strange feeling that Coach Osovet will be our next OC.

If that's what happens I can't gripe at all about that move by Pruitt.

The combined knowledge and experience of Pruitt, Osovet and Friend could design a O that can control the clock, move the chains and score.

I think they could also design a hurry up O that can score fast if need be.

At least we did really well in the early signing days without a OC in place and we can all relax now and wait and see what Pruitt does if it's not Osovet.

I just hope we don't lose Osovet off of our staff.

VFL...GBO!!!

He won't be our next OC, it would have already been announced. It's going to be an NFL OC or college OC who is still playing in a bowl. It's already been said he's not hiring from within. It won't be Friend or Osovet. I thought maybe Kitchens but he got the Cleveland OC job on a permanent basis. It's not gonna be Jim Bob either. He's already told recruits the next OC has SEC Coaching experience. It's gonna be Sarkisian 85% or Chaney 15%.

I think it’s going to be Steve Sarkisian from Atlanta that makes the most sense once the Falcons staff is let go.

I think it will be too. They have worked together and there's familiarity. Think Kitchens would have been a possibility if it wasn't promoted to full time OC. I'm betting Sark gets named around Jan 2nd or 3rd.

Sounds logical.

I just wish the odds were the other way around.
Always liked Chaney while he was here.............

Absolutely. I would love it to be Chaney. Plus taking him from Kirby would make it even sweeter. I don't have any inside info or anything but just based on chatter those 2 seem to be odds on faves. We couldn't go wrong with either.

i really hope its not sark. he won't be here long as hes trying to get hc again. plus with his drinking issues, i don't know how he can be seen as reliable. also haven't been that impressed with his offenses much.
