can't decide... drunk? just got dumped? got beat up by a ut fan? or maybe just another fair-weather fan?my 20 years in knoxville taught me one thing, while loyal,
vol fans are not very smart. putting up with fulmer who consistently underachieved and cost us at least 2 other national championships was stupid. fans were satisfied with 9-3 or 10-2 seasons.vol football had the potential
to be a dynasty like the u.now vol fans will settle for
mediocrity.they will continue to fill neyland stadium while we are a horrible football team led by average coaches and a horrible ad. prepare for 10 years of sucking and we will never hire an elite coach unless you the fan base demands it. the way you demand it is by boycotting the games and emptying neyland stadium.until they fire hamilton and hire a saban like coach vol fans will not even sniff a bcs bowl game or sec championship.i for one will be amused watching 100000 FANS fill neyland to watch a 3-9 team.these next 2 years will be the worst in ut history.yeah i know i'm a negavol but ai prefer realistic to negavol

Yep. Brilliant. Saban was chomping at the bit to come to Tennessee. Hamilton just didn't pull the trigger. Emptying out the stadium will do it. Will help recruiting too. Brilliant, just brilliant. Why didn't we think of that before?

Posted via VolNation MobileSeriously. The key to the Vol success is emptying the stadium? Where do you guys get this stuff. I do agree with one thing, your not very smart
You sure that we could not have gotten him at the end of 2005 or 2006 when many UT fans were still fluffing Fulmer?

I don't agree with the original post. However, he did get that part right. You don't think any company out there will totally re-evaluate and make the nessecary adjustments if their customers up and leave? It is either that or go under, and make no mistake d1 football is a business.
2005, I doubt it. He was only one year in the pros. 2006, I don't know either way. Neither do you. Alabama handed him the keys to the kingdom. No way he could come out a loser.
I, for one, would not want to go to a school that had just ran off a longtime, mostly successful, coach. 1) That is the reason many big name coaches do not find it attractive. We were in a position that we almost had to take a young coach with something to prove.
So do you think they are going to bring in a 10 million a year CEO if they don't have the operating budget to pay him ?
I find it very sad that 9-3 and 10-2 is good enough for some people. At Tennessee, the goal should always be to compete for and win championships.
Right. Saban would have been too intimidated to follow Fulmer.lol:
1) Show me anything anywhere that backs that statement up.

Nobody said he was intimidated. That is not the point. It is not a matter of intimidation as much as walking into an impossible situation.
How many big name coaches were knocking at the door ? That seems to back it up.
You show me something to back up your statement that he would have come here after 2006.
You can't . It is all conjecture. Opinion.
The only good point I see in the OP is the part about not going to the games if you're not happy with the product on the field. It's called being an intelligent consumer, a concept many of you seem to be unfamiliar with.
