I have never, ever seen a team that comes out flat every game? I don't pretend to know why. Any of you got some original ideas? One would think that a SEC East title and a possible play-off berth ( no longer in the cards) would be enough to motivate a football player . Why didnt it?

That's the million dollar question, isn't it? I don't know that I've ever seen anything like it. However, against SC, there was a different vibe even after the first series or two. You could see that only a few players looked into the game. Even though we have come back so many times this year, I didn't feel comfortable with that one.

As for the question, I think there were egos that needed to be fed; both on the players' side and the coaches' side. The offensive staff is bound and determined to stick to their "offense" and not change much but at the same time, they are handcuffed with the O-line and QB play. I don't see any of that changing, personally.

This is coaching, they recruited and developed these guys. This is year 4 these things should be non issues.

Go back to the App State -- Cam Sutton fumbling our first KO return; JRM + DKj were the starters that game (App State scored first); Dobbs overthrow to a wide-open Malone; beginning of ongoing OL issues/poor blocking. High-expectations + Ill-prepared = Program Today.

Butch Jones -- take that $221k flashy car back to the dealer.

Coaching. There is no other explanation. 3 times can be a fluke. 8 times means it's real.

Butch implying players weren't falling in line during summer practice totally confirms it.

I know at least one unmotivated player who is no longer in the locker room

Derek Barnett has been "quoted" as saying there is another distraction causing problems. I'll let you decipher that one out. It's not hard to make the correct guess.

Theres no reason At All to be behind this Saturday! Not one. Tennessee should score on virtually every drive against Tennessee Tech. but who knows
