I could have sworn he said next season, thus, this season's stats are almost meaningless for this discussion, except when you look to see how easy it will be for Smith to be better than Beverly next year.
Yeah, true, you cannot look to this years stats to gauge the future.
Generally it is good to back up your points with facts or rationale why you think that way. I guess I just will have to easily see how Smith will be better, 'cause the stats don't line up.
I was gonna add that we should take shots that we expect to make, but then half the team would have to avoid FTs.IMO: Lofton, JaJuan, and incredibly, Jordan Howell should have the green light.
Ramar has the yellow light: only take the shot if it's a good look, but if he's feeling it, take it.
Childress, Chism, Tabb and Bradshaw should only shoot 3's in emergency situations (shot clock running down, trying to come back at the end of a game, etc.)
(and yes, I know that each of those last four have knocked down a couple here and there, but you gotta play the percentages.)
