Denarius Moore’s Response:
“Actually, (Bray) came to the wide receivers and told us to calm down and keep our heads in before we actually had time to talk to him. That right there lets me know his head was still in the game. I think it probably is pretty rare for a freshman. He came in with confidence and then he also kept his head in the game. I was real proud of him for it.”
Bray’s Response:
“I went to the receivers, the running backs and the line and said, ‘Guys, don't worry about it.' It's my fault. We're going to move on from here and let's put a drive together.”
Bray on Simms:
"I thought (Matt) Simms was doing great. He was moving the ball downfield, making the right reads. I was fine with sticking with Simms as long as he was doing a good job."
Simms’ Response:
“It's unfortunate that they took me out. I feel like I played really well. I feel like I could have made all those throws because we had guys wide-open down the middle of the field. So I feel like I'm a good enough quarterback to make those plays and I'm just a little upset that I got taken out like that.”
More from Simms:
“Nothing much I can do about getting hit in the back and the guy stripping the ball from me. That's one of the better defensive lines in the conference and you know, hey, if you get hit a lot, sometimes the ball comes out. Other than that, I thought I played really well. Didn't turn the ball over besides those. It wasn't like I dropped back and threw it to the other team.”
Simms Last Week after Alabama:
"They [the coaches] stayed true to their plan, and I respect that, and I thank them for being honest with me, but at the same time those drives right there, I feel like I need to be out there, because I feel like I'm missing out on plays that could have been made or penalties that could have been avoided.”
