I live 10 mins away from the stadium and have my whole life, I have been a fan from as long as I can remember. I have never been a student at UT but that doesn't mean that an alumni of UT is any more of a fan than I am. I've been to lots of games and have supported them through thick and thin. If it were only former alumni and current alumni the we would have a bunch of fans sitting on their a** afraid to be to loud so they won't disturb there neighbor sitting next to them.

Oh I see, well I guess I am a sidewalk alumni neck. I would have loved more than anything in this world to have been an official UT student or alumni. But alot of us never made it off the farm so being just a "dirt road " fan is as close as we can get.
I live and die with UT Football so it's just as important to me as any alumni. It's my escape from the real world. Alot of us in our small corners of our great state with our thick southern accents maybe looked down upon as uneducated hicks but we have love for UT. but we all have a common bond that's why I love it!!

Either way you are not a true fan without a diploma.

I graduated from Tennessee in the fall of 2008 and that's the dumbest thing I've seen posted on here.
While an alumni certainly has a different perspective of campus, the athletic department doesn't care if the money they receive comes from an alum or a "sidewalk" guy.
