You know by your philosophy we should have kept Butch. Forget that JG can't read a defense, pick up a blitz or see past his primary receiver. Forget all that and consider that he is not winning. Not last year and not this year. Sometimes a great arm and great toughness ain't enough. And I for one would like to have seen other QBs at the beginning of the year and we may have won few more games. Then again maybe not but at least we'd know.

My prediction is we lose the last 3 games with JG getting pounded because KY, MO and Vandy are going to send everthing plus the kitchen sink at him. Heck I can't believe SC didn't. If they had rushed more than 3 players they might have blown us out.

One mans hate is another’s critical analysis.
My biggest criticism of JG is his outright refusal to run the ball.
He can actually move a little and with this off line there are times he should run.
But, for some reason, he just won’t. And, I’m talking before any possible injuries.

The truth is not hate. Just because some people don't see the shiny in everything doesn't make them a hater. If you can't see this team is horrible, I can't help you...

Every thread I enter I see you doing nothing but talking **** about JG. Take a break from it and bitch about how our defense sucked against SC.

Wasn't Dobbs held back for a period of time? At least that was the scuttlebutt, right? Maybe if it became a more reliable feature of our offense, it would take some of the pressure off the pass.

The day we come into a thread and you aren't talking BS about a guy that is tough as nails, has a decent arm, and a 5 cent head, we will. JG is probably a great practice QB with the green jersey on. Game time he freezes like a deer in the headlights.

Freezes? Wow. I have seen quite a few stupid posts about JGs play but yours make take the cake. But Ron White is correct when he says you cant fix stupid.

I'm not sure he has a 5 cent head. I wonder just what the reason is for his apparent hesitance on releasing the ball. The kid has a bullet arm a great accuracy under the right conditions. Personally, I believe he wasn't 100% for the SC game. He made bad throws that we've seen him make reliably in the past under much greater pressure. Ribs hurt, performance hurts. I'm not ready to write this kid off.

I’ll gladly forget that JG “can’t read a defense, pick up a blitz or see past his primary receiver”, because none of that is true.

Or, if that somehow is true (which it’s not), it’s anazing how he completes such a high percentage of his throws, spreads the ball around to multiple receivers, doesn’t turn the ball over, and is incredibly efficient/successful on 3rd down conversions.

WOW! Once he learns how to do all that he’s gonna be one of the best QBs in the country!

It could be that the coaches have told him not to take off. To me the less he runs, the less "confusion" for the linemen trying to get into the play. Play that is not as scripted increases the chance of injuries. i,e. Out of position blocking, linemen running around out of control and not mention the ever present holding. If everyone knows what is supposed to happen and it does, well it's just a thought.
