I dont have a standard for here. I post my opinion of the thread im in and think you would do the same. Ik pretty sure ive only mentioned coach worship once, in one thread in quite some time.

I believe the coaches vantage point part of the statement is true most of the time. This is a case I'm not sure if it is. I feel that JP is thinking we aren't going to win a lot know matter the QB so lets see what we have for the future with JG having 2 more years.

Isnt that still the vantage point of the coaches? I believe the same. KC wont be here and we have basically a new qb

This. I’m as big of fan as anyone here but it’s a message board and we can agree to disagree and criticize the team and coaches as needed. The fans are ultimately the boss. Unhappy fan base eventually leads to coach removal as it did with jones.

And it goes beyond a vantage point at field level practice and gametime, doesnt it? He knows what's going on with these guys in almost every aspect of their lives. He could believe that JG could be a GOAT if he got in the right situations, and situations that this offense can only provide in an unreliable manner. I don't want to embrace mediocrity, and I guess I have a long fuse when it comes to something I know only a little about. But, JG is our guy until he is not. So, I'll go with it.

We're all sick of losing, sick of being irrelevant, sick of being an SEC-East doormat, sick of watching teams like UK be in the top 10, and sick of having to look at a rusted out stadium every time we attend a game. So, we get on VN and complain because we don't have any other way to voice our frustration. I try not take that attitude, but I can't fault my VN brothers and sisters when they do.

In short, I don't like being negative either, but I do think taking an honest inventory about where the Vols really are as a program is healthy. I think they get a win today and maybe a win against Vandy, but that's all I think this team is capable of doing.

How do you make up for two years (or more) of no strength training and players that are undersized for the SEC? Recruiting, Juco's, and two additional years of real S&C. Here's to 2020 . . . Go Vols.

Yes.

Unless they have the 85 Bears defense then yes the quarterback is the heart of the offense and an offense that can score is hard to beat. Look at scores today there aren't very many 10 to 7 games are there?

Or, if that somehow is true (which it’s not), it’s anazing how he completes such a high percentage of his throws, spreads the ball around to multiple receivers, doesn’t turn the ball over, and is incredibly efficient/successful on 3rd down conversions.

WOW! Once he learns how to do all that he’s gonna be one of the best QBs in the country!

It's not my philosophy but those that wanted to keep Butch and those that worship JG have this in common.... They are holding on to LOSING. If your not winning make a change for it can't get any worse.

Has it become like Nascar where everyone watches to see the wreck? In this case poor JG getting knocked around. He is one tough kid and might have a better career in the WWE.
