Sick of the haters

You get really hung up on last games. What was your opinion of JG after AU?

Refresh my memory, what circumstances led to KC being in Knoxville?

Auburn: I was thinking we might have a QB and a defense. But now I wonder what happened to that QB.. where did he go. Maybe Bama knocked the QB out of him...

Of all you out there claiming that JG is better than KC when you look at the stats, have you actually compared the stats for this season???

2018
JG 65.6%cmp 9-TDs 2-INTs 18-Sacks RawQBR:66.7 AdjQBR:74.8 -64yrds rushing
KC 57.1%cmp 3-TDs 0-INTs 0-Sacks RawQBR:88.4 AdjQBR:91.4 1yrd rushing

KC played in only one of the last 5 games and in that one he looked great.

Give them some credit and a minute to grow. JG is tough, has a great arm and some talent. We have a young team with some promise! Let’s get behind these guys and have some fun!!!
Amen. I’m very sick of these arm chair coaches that don’t know what in the hell they are talking about.

Jeremy Pruitt on Tennessee’s 40-14 loss to West Virginia: ‘That’s on me’

"The most important thing to me is how your team plays, because how your team plays tells you what kind of coach you are,” Pruitt said during his postgame press conference. “Their team played better than our team did today. That’s on me. I need to get these guys to where they execute on a higher level, where they believe in their self. And I think we’ll do that.”

Jeremy Pruitt post-game comments following Tennessee’s disappointing loss to Florida

opening statement:

“First of all, you have to give Coach Mullen and his staff a ton of credit, created a bunch of turnovers. They executed, and that’s one me.. You have to give credit to Florida.

Jeremy Pruitt gets emotional during postgame presser following Tennessee’s loss at Georgia

"I said it last week, there were a lot of guys who played their best game last week for us and it was hard to tell that because we turned the football over. I said I thought I saw the right look in some of the guys’ eyes and I wasn’t wrong. Those same guys came out here today, they practiced this week hard and they didn’t let up.”
“I learned we’ve got fight in us, that we’re not going to quit, it kind of gets me excited. … I’m proud of them and the way they fought. … It isn’t easy. That team in red today tried to change the way we fought. That’s the way they’re coached, that’s the way they play. They play the right way. Our guys kept fighting which means we’re headed in the right direction and that excites me. That’s why I’m getting a little bit emotional.”

Well if that is all he said I would say good job coach.

But:
“a few guys that are playing the game the right way and doing all the right things. And I promise you that I will recruit 25 other guys that will play the right way so we don’t have to play in another game like this.”

And he constantly points to the teams inexperience and not "doing it the right way".
He constantly says that it's not the play calling or the game plan.

So I'll give you the post game speeches but what leaks out during the week is a little different.

Oh theres more. I just found that in a 5 min search.

Wikileaks?

For the record the comments you posted are spot on if you have an elementary understanding of football. We re not very talented and have some guys that dont want change. Only one way you fix that.

For the record, those comments are from the Bama game IIRC.

Did he say that after WV, UF, UGA, and SC?

Not going to know that unless KC plays. And the last time he played he was very good... 98QBR ... 2 TD drives and 1 field goal attempt against the best team in the country.
This is all we have EVER asked for.

Wasn't Dobbs held back for a period of time? At least that was the scuttlebutt, right? Maybe if it became a more reliable feature of our offense, it would take some of the pressure off the pass.

Dobbs was held back his freshman year until Worley went down with an injury.

It was obvious to everyone then Worley wasn’t the answer. Held the ball too long.

Worley then won the starting job AGAIN the following year and only lost it to Dobbs after he was injured again.

Butch was a moron. Both season would have been much better if Dobbs was the starter the whole time. What he did on the field shows that.

Maybe things will change but JG reminds me a lot of Worley but with a stronger arm. No ability to make a play with his feet if the pocket collapses and holds the ball toodamn long. No pre snap read ability either.

It is much easier to take/prepare for a hit as a runner than a blindside/standing vertical in the pocket.
Dual threat quarterback...Jared has better arm talent than Dobbs. Dobbs masked our crap O-Line with his running ability making defenses respect him torching them if he tucked it. Really thought he’d take off with it more than he has.

Everyone knew this team was horrible before the year even started. The problem started after the Auburn game when a bunch of idiots suddenly thought we should be competing for the SEC all of a sudden.
We won a game against a team that was struggling and overrated. But some of our fan base couldn’t see what really happened that game and instead of realizing that it was a perfect storm of breaks going our way and our team playing nearly flawless, they saw it as we were suddenly a top team and should be competing with a Bama for the SEC.

Once reality came back during the Bama game instead of them realizing that the auburn game was the exception and not the rule, they suddenly took it as the qb and coaches sucking. The qb has always been at a disadvantage with the online, and this staff is stuck with the crap butch left.

This year was always going to be a wash and anyone that thought otherwise is either just plain clueless and knows nothing about football or is stuck in the “gruden will fix everything” camp that will never be happy until we get Saban or the next big name in coaching.
Problem is not everyone thought that this team was horrible, you did obviously.

After watching them last year and the scrapped together recruiting class we got in, not gonna lie I couldn’t see 4 wins on our schedule this year. Especially since we were taking a horrible D and switching systems along with a whole new coaching staff and a new O system.
Pruitt has exceeded what I thought he would be able to do in year one and that leaves me far more optimistic than I’ve been in over a decade.
Our previous coaching hires were only able to maintain my expectations during year one and should’ve been a sign they weren’t gonna be an improvement over what we fired.
