Latest is he will bring in (per 247) Ellarbee, Golesh, and the QB coach. Also expect Kodi Burns (formerly of AU) and Matt Merritt (who came from JMU but worked at OSU for a few years when Urban was coach).

There are some rumors swirling around that Steele was intent on being interim HC for a longer timeframe - and may have turned down a position coach/ coordinator role to stay at UT.

This.......Thats what I said yesterday. I don't want Butch 2.0 with a mid major bringing his entire staff. If JH was smart, he would pick the best staff available. He should know there is never a long leash at Tennessee.

We know why Neids was recruiting well so that is irrelevant; Graham could recruit well. However Chaney, Friend, Osovet, and Weinke were not good recruiters

Yeah it was. Fulmer had been for a few weeks prior restricted to hire anyone. They didn’t lift the restrictions for one day before Fulmer was forced out to hire Steele.
