SI has Hooker leading for Heisman

With Young going down with an injury, one would think that the Heisman race just opened up a little bit for our guy Hooker. Not saying they'd give it to him over the OSU guy, but his odds of getting an invite certainly improved today. Hate that Young went down tho.

Question.. Do we think more babies born in Tennessee will be named Hendon or Hooker? Personally I kinda hope it's the latter.

It would feel a bit cheap if this is when we finally get a Heisman after how badly Peyton and especially Coach Majors were cheated. I’d be very happy for Hooker or whomever could win it though.

Looking over FBS stat leaders I found Hookers yards per game stats to be freakin unreal……..although I can see the certainty are.

Hooker is 5th in the country in total O with 342 yards per game. However Hooker does this via 37 plays per game.

The UTSA QB leads the nation at 383 yards per game; however he does this with a bit over 46 plays per game.

If Hooker had 9 more plays per game (on the averages) he would have roughly 423 yards per game.

The only person near the top with near the same amount of plays is Bennett of Georgia. He has the same 37 plays but gains 315.6 yards per game.

Hooker is gaining over 9.2 yards per play on combined rushing and throwing.

The closest to Hooker is Penix at Washington at 8.5 per……..and he has 2 int’s, a good bit lower completion %, and a much lower rating.


Needless to say if you dive into the stats…….Hooker is tearing it up.

Also 10.6 yards per pass “attempt.”

Yep. And I view the trophy as a "most popular kid in school" award nowadays.

But if a Tennessee dude wins it, I'm all in an will wear my fan hypocrisy badge with honor.

Mine would have said “she has a pretty face and good personality.”

I understand some guys have a fat fetish, and that’s well and good. However, I agree with those who think it’s ridiculous to promote unhealthy body types hoping to avoid hurt feelings.

Regardless of attraction, you have a critical flaw in your argument.
1. Unless you are her doctor then you have no idea how healthy or unhealthy she is.
2. Judging someone's health off body fat composition, or a picture of their body fat is not accurate at all. There are plenty of people with low BMI's that have significant heath issues and could be considered "unhealthy".

As for Hooker, Tennessee must beat Ga or Bama for any chance at winning and it would be a small chance at that. I don't think Peyton not winning the Heisman hurt his career or bank account at all.

At the moment she could be healthy as a horse, and skinny people die every day. You can also end up with lung cancer without every smoking a thing. However, to pretend those who are overweight aren’t more likely to end up with serious health issues is as silly as pretending smoking isn’t a major cause of lung cancer.

COVID, just like many other maladies, proved once again that being overweight will increase your odds of an early death. To pretend otherwise is just whistling through the graveyard.

And I do seem to draw the line at being healthy. If your doctor is seriously recommending gastric by-pass then you are probably too big for me. This chick isn't that big.
