Shy Tuttle out for the season

You serious? The devil's advocate routine can be dropped at this point. That hit was both illegal and dirty. I saw it live and could immediately see what the "intent" was behind that hit. Kid got beat by a true freshman and tried to take him out of the game. End of story.

No devils advocate. Glad you read minds though. Intent is very important. People with a history of dirty play don't get the benefit of the doubt like others would. Glad you know he was trying to take him "out of the game."

I'll call you to get lottery numbers next week too.

Sometimes it seems like bad luck just follows our program around. We finally got a descent W in putting the Dawgs streak to bed, and now more bad news. We need to do like Sarano on Major League and see if we can find us a chicken to sacrifice to get this bad luck Voo Doo curse off our Vols! LOL!

That didn't happen at least not on the play that Robinson was injured on. He was tackled by two players simultaneously. Nobody held him up.

Yes, that was, unfortunately, a classic high-low tackle. Cornelius Bennett hit Tony high from the left side and Curt Jarvis hit him low from the opposite side. Tony had just planted his right foot for a possible cutback, so that knee caved to the inside. To review that play, fast-forward to the 1:47:00 mark of https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_538KNF58RQ. The truly disgusting thing about that play is that you can hear an audible cheer from the crowd when Tony tried to get up but couldn't.

...like I'm going to share my winning numbers with you. Yeah right.

I think it is safe to say that #54 wasn't trying to keep Tuttle in the game. Look, if I start a fire near your My Lttle Pony doll collection that destroys everything, my intent may not have been to make you cry and pout in your room. But that is what happened (it's going to be ok, big fella).

The point is this; we all know what potentially happens with fire and your little dolls. I should have known that I was going to make you upset if they burned. #54 knew what he was doing and knew what could happen when he dove at Tuttle's legs from behind.

Since losing Tuttle, it got me thinking. Why not stick Blair in there? I mean the guy is a huge space eater if nothing else. It would at the very least add some depth for us. He has to know at least a little bit about a defensive lineman.

Since it's clear they don't plan to start/play Mosley, they should move him back to DT immediately. We NEED that size against Bamer. Only he and KMac have the size and talent to hold up and penetrate their OL consistently.

Size does not equal talent. KMac has both. At this point we only know that Mosley has size - the talent part is still an unknown.

You are definitely funny. Sad and pathetic but that's what is funny.

Please enlighten me. I love all the Vol nation posters who can't try and act cool by attacking others.

My guess....you feel very very very safe behind the keyboard.

So he's in danger if you ever meet IRL? :aggressive:

What is the precedent? Woulda, coulda, shoulda. Sure, Butch can submit film to the league office and they'll say, "So sorry. We missed one." if..............they say anything. There are penalties during the game for this kind of stuff. Watch our pulling guards on the Jet sweeps. They are blocking at the knees on those D ends and linebackers as well. Stuff happens. I hate that it happened to our guy and to their guy as well. But...........we can't be whining about dirty play whenever one of our guys goes down. 300+ pounders aren't ballet dancers.

Regardless, until somebody shows me a rule that requires the other guy to sit out as long as the guy he injured is out, this is much ado about nothing.
A pulling guard? What does a pulling guard have to do with Tuttle getting hurt? Nothing of course, because he didn't get hurt by a pulling guard. But nothin can be done about it now. I'm just pissed a great young player got hurt by a cheap shot, which is not a normal football play.
Saying a guy deserves punishment for a cheap shot isn't whining. Just because there isn't a rule doesn't mean one isn't needed.

I'm fairly certain that you have been antagonizing anyone who disagrees with you on this thread. Just pointing out the irony.

I never antagonized. I state my opinion. If someone disagrees with me....who cares. However, I do find the level of idiocy from a vast majority of posters, quite amusing.
