Spurrier was the only coach who i saw do it successfully.

I saw this because we have a huge NFL level talent on the bench in Milton who has been hitting his receivers in stride on deep routes like it's nothing so far this year.

Now hear me out please. I'm not saying to start Milton over Hooker..But Hooker has a mental problem with his throwing going on this year. Pretty much every pass is high and that's why Tilman got injured. Even short routes he is throwing it high. That's how we got into a 10-0 hole against Pitt as well.

If Hooker is over throwing recievers to open up against UF and we go a few three and outs, i say rotate Milton in there for a series of two. Hopefully this doesn't happen but i could actually see a QB rotation with these guys working out as they are such close friends in real life.

I’m gonna tell you like I have told the rest of the people that thinks that Hooker got Tillman hurt. Hooker did not get him hurt, actually it was even a pass play when he got hurt. Go back and watch the 1st speed option where Sampson was tackled into his legs from behind whole Tillman was blocking. If you had seen that play you would have noticed right then that Tillman struggled to get to his feet and then limped off the field. That’s when the Initial happened. But to answer the rest. Hooker is our starter unless he gets hurt and he has rightfully earned that spot. Milton will get his chance to start next year.

That's debatable imo but the fact remains that Hendon is consistently over throwing the ball every time. I'm amazed his stats look as good as they do because the eye test tells me he is off big time this year. It just shows you how good that he can really be when he is fully dialed in.

but I do agree that Milton is too good to not be on the field for some special plays designed to utilize his rare talents (even if it's just to disrupt the defense). If I can see that now, you can imagine that coach Heupel saw it quite some time back. They will probably both be on the field together this Saturday.

Heh, I just said in another thread that I haven't seen any Tennessee fan proposing that we start Milton over Hooker.

And here you are, coming pretty close to that. Not saying it, but coming close.

No.

We shouldn't.

What's wrong with rotating them if one is off? QB position is highly mental and emotional based and these guys are still all relatively young kids out there. Hendon is older than your typical student athlete though to his credit. Let's see how he starts off against Florida. Knowing him, he is going to be incredibly nervous. I say open him up with a play action deep route first play of the game to Hyatt or Tilman. If he misses, call a design QB run or two to loosen him up more.

I’d do it every play. Let’s really break some new ground here.

This is why we can’t have nice things.

You’re amazed at the stat line because you’re looking for mistakes. Hooker was SEC offensive QB of the week in week 2 and is arguably the best QB in the conference to this point, and you’re still not satisfied.

Shotgun snaps are kinda like passes. Should we rotate Cooper and Milton some too? Make sure Milton gets on the field and Coop gets a breather. Win-Win.
