Sure. While we're at it can we get a couple more of those stimulus checks mailed my way and a little ppp money to boot.

If your team gets kneecapped by positive cases or opt-outs, then I think a mulligan is warranted.

If not, you're on a level playing field with everyone else, and a crap performance is simply a crap performance.
I think you are getting warmer.

Look we all have a brain. You can understand if your team gets handicapped by Covid-19 verses coaching deficiencies. This is why there should not be a free pass. If you lose a few star players to injury would you give the coach a free pass? Happens every year and that answer is no free pass.

Michigan, PSU, and Nebraska all have coaches up until this year that were considered good. I realize Frost has a large rebuild at Nebraska, but he was considered a home run hire 3 years ago. Frost may turn out to be a giant failure for the cornhuskers. Franklin went 11-2 overall in 2019 while Harbaugh finished 9-4 last year. I don’t feel sorry for any of these programs. This has been a very odd year in CFB.

Just my personal thoughts:

With the national recruiting landscape how it is now, I don't ever see Nebraska being a top tier program again, regardless of who the coach is.

I definitely dont feel sorry for Harbaugh because of all his past antics. He's got a great resume, but has grossly underachieved since being at Michigan.

Franklin made a Vandy program relevant and turned a devastated PSU program into national title contenders in a pretty short amount of time. IMO, if anyone deserves the benefit of the doubt during this Covid season, its him.

I’ll give another reason why I don’t buy COVID as an excuse for Tennessee specifically.

They’re getting worse as the season goes along. Not better, worse.

They were better on September 26 than they are now.

Yet all teams aren't equal in terms of preparations for the season.

Its hard for anyone to say with a straight face that every college team playing football this year all started on equal footing.

fair enough... but the teams shouldn't be playing worse as the season progresses
