The fact that they didn't do so when they flew him down makes me think that they wanted the info to get out. As others have mentioned, especially Larry, Butch likes to control the flow of info and is pretty dang good at it.

His youngest son is a JR at State College HS and as you say, the oldest is already on the Penn St squad, would Butch offer either kid a scholly? One would think if the parent is making $1 mil a year that wouldn't matter, but to some it matters pride wise as not being a walk on.

Shoop has two sons, one is a freshman walk on at PSU. He graduated from Father Ryan, so the family had stayed behind in Nashville until this past year.
