Shoop confirmed on campus

The hurdle is? What's the point of reporting if your not going to tell us what it is? *edit* posted the answer is I was typing

Truth. They wised up. Like I mentioned before, the owner/operator of the plane can file the plane under a private tail number that only people can track if they enter it in. Which in this case, only a handful of people know it this time. However, if they blocked the same plane, you would be able to search old tail number and it would turn up blocked. Which it isn't. So that plane hasn't moved at all and is still in Knoxville

I just watched the replay of flights on the FlightRadar24.com site. It show an aircraft left Knoxville at 8:34 AM today with a return flight to State College.

The buyout should be easy. UT should pay it and put it in the new contract that it has to be paid back if Shoop elects to leave before the term of the new contract is up.

Oh I know the King Air is a great plane; plenty of room and still pretty fast for a twin turbo. Have flown in both King and Queen Airs back in the day. Actually got to ride in a Queen Air that used to be owned by LBJ. But the Jet would be faster and it wasnt like there were several travelling with him unless we were sending some body guards back!!

Well if you're ever needing a charter, hit me up!

pretty sure that issue resolved prior to Shoop's arrival here yesterday

I certainly defer to you on that. I heard lots of chatter about a possible deal with BS right around and after the bowl game.
Then it died down and others were mentioned; then I get word early friday that it looks real good and he is on his way down here. I have no idea exactly when the buyout got cleared up. My source just knew it was cleared up by last night.

Thanks for all the great info you bring Larry.

My favorite quote from the PSU board, for many, many reasons:

"This is a small time staff learning what big time football coaching is all about in real time. They are free to go back to Vandy where they can all be heroes for mediocrity if they are going to cry about it. Shoop is the lone all-star coach on this staff when it comes to X's and O's and that definitely includes Franklin."
