From Swanson from Hubbs in the recruiting forum, Shoop is expected to fly home today and make a final decision with his family.
That he includes his wife in decisions that affect the entire family?
I wouldn't be overly concerned with that.
This didn't happen yesterday. You really think he going to talk it over with his family? It's done. One way or the other and if it was the other we woukd have heard. Hubbs is a puppet and your his audience. No offense of course.
Franklin always hated the Vols and liked to jerk our chain. I hope this is not a set up where he sends Shoop down to get our hopes up and then jerks the rug out from under us by Hoops not take the job, sort of like the Tee Martin interview. I know this is somewhat of a conspiracy line of thinking (or even a negavol), but it is a possibility from our past history. We had a lot of coaches over the years come here and interview and we thought they were the coach, only to find out later they were not. I remember those well during the Fulmer firing, Kiffin, Dooley, and Jones hires.
I agree. During each instance when we were being passed over by a coach there were multiple insiders saying "done deal". Not a negavol either but not a done deal until it's inked.
No one is saying that's a horrible thing to do. They're just saying its concerning given the situation and his past with situations like these (i.e. Talk with an SEC team, fly out for an interview, go home to decide, then decide he wants to stay at PSU)
Anyone know what VQ is saying on the subject?
