Is a straight up punk. Go Peyton.
What makes him a punk? Sports, football especially is all about trash talk. Crabtree said or did something to make him react that way. He didn't curse Crabtree out on camera or use slang or subjective language. He was in his opinion calling a spade a spade. Should he have waited until he calmed down to address the situation? Sure, but nothing he said or did was way out of line to make him a "punk."
Can't handle the trash talk then you don't need to be watching/ or playing football or any other sport.
How many of you thought Peyton calling out his kicker years ago during an interview at the Pro Bowl was hilarious and perfectly okay?

You consider them to be similar scenarios? Sherman exhibited very poor sportsmanship toward a defeated opponent. Whatever Crabtree said, it was between the players and that is normal conduct. Sherman took sore winning to a whole new level, and escalated a feud that no one even knew about.
Vandy called out Manning to the world and kicked him while he was down. Manning responded when asked about it. Not saying Manning is right for doing it, but he didn't escalate anything.
If Tom Brady said the exact same thing in a post game interview everyone would just say, "Oh that Tom Brady! He's such a fierce competitor!" But since it's Sherman, he's a punk and a thug. The guy is arrogant to a fault, but the amount of criticism he's received is equally obnoxious. And the racial component to all of this is just completely uncalled for.
But then again, Tom usually has his wife make his excuses for him, right?
He called him an idiot and drunk on national television. So what's worse? Showing up an opponent or a teammate?
I see no difference between the two situations.
Because Manning was asked about an existing and known feud and he responded in kind with one sentence. Sherman took a story that didn't exist to the public and taunted Crabtree then insulted him in two different post game interviews. How can you not see the difference?
What Vanderjagt did is not acceptable in the sports world and Manning returned the fired shot. What Crabtree did is completely acceptable in the sports world, and Sherman reacted in a way that is not acceptable.
It's totally different. I'm sure Manning regrets it, but it's nowhere near what Sherman did.
