Whats the wind direction?

If its from the south south east, its the inflow to the storms building in Arkansas. Fronts still back over Arky, Oklahoma state line

My local channels on Satellite aren't so local, anyway know if it is going to dodge West TN. The radar looks more favorable for West TN right now than it did earlier, but I'm not a weather man.

Tornado Warning for a storm in Arkansas. Current track would take it between Munford and Covington

If the radar projections that they're showing on Channel 3 are to be trusted, the cell that's expected to cross the Mississippi River from Pine Bluff MIGHT be the worst of it.

I guess we'll see.

Interesting factoid: winds are named by where they come from. Just like if you are from Tennessee, no matter where you live afterward (Alabama, New York, etc.) you are still a Tennessean. Similarly, a wind from the west going east is a westerly wind. Cuz that's where it is from.

I went south to Collierville. Looks like a good move as Arlington may get the big cell. Alarms are going now.
