Careful with putting those two letters together. The Browns can attest to that.
So they projected the Browns feed onto a giant wall at the facility. It was like broadcasting talk radio over the entire building, and one day in particular, it was worse than that. One of the marketing staffers entered a search for #dp -- for Dawg Pound. The problem was, that hashtag carried a few different meanings, one of which triggered an array of porn to be broadcast onto a wall for the entire office to see for more than 20 minutes, until a tech employee killed the feed.

The SEC is trying to form a super conference with teams from the B12 and ACC. Dan Patrick reporting this...
"The SEC's attempt to save its season seemingly comes down to whether it can convince ACC or Big 12 member schools to form a one-season coalition. If that's the case, those schools will likely have to make concessions to guarantee the safety of the players, which may change the landscape of college football. "
Good post and I agree they will recoup the revenue one way or anotherThere is such a thing as pricing yourself right out of a career. Happens all the time. Just ask the folks that worked for International Harvester, Firestone, Truck lines in the 70's and 80's and tons more examples. This "pay for play" seems to fit squarely into that category but who knows...I could be mistaken. I know many here have strong opinions both ways but I can only imagine what the prices for tickets etc would look like in an attempt to recoop that lost revenue. And I'm sure everyone here understands...THAT REVENUE WOULD BE RECOOPED...one way or the other. JMO though.
Let's do a comparison..This entire rant amuses me. How much money does just UT make off the football program each fall? $100m plus? Sure there are expenses that come out of it, but that's the revenue it generates. Do you know who generates that revenue? Those players. Schools need students and student athletes, period. They aren't biting the hand that feeds them when they're controlling their own health concerns. Colleges want kids back in dorms because it would cut into their profits if they aren't. Colleges are business entities, and students and student athletes are their consumers and revenue generators. Just because you're pissed that a bunch of young men and women would dare stand up for their actual rights and concerns doesn't make you anywhere close to correct. Greedy "elite" players aren't the only ones participating in this. Most of these players are well aware that they'll never go pro, but they don't want to suit up, get sick, and potentially die for the fans' entertainment, and in a sane world we wouldn't question that right. It's ignorance at its highest level. Their lives don't belong to the University they play for. I would love to see college, high school, and athletics in general now as much as anyone, but I'd also like for them to be in the safest environment possible... for their actual futures, and not for my entertainment.
Pay the same tax rate as everyone else. You get paid you have to graduate. Paying players is stupid. They already get paid as stated above.Let's do a comparison..
My oldest goes to UT.. She is thankfully on academic scholarship.. Do you know what it doesn't pay for? Food.. Living.. Parking.. Medical.. Gym fees.. Books etc..
85 on a football scholarship.. Get tuition.. They eat like kings, they get a nice place to live, they get medical, clothes.. I honestly don't know of one thing they pay for, and if I'm not mistaken.. They get money to live on.. On top of educational support and a chance to go to play in the league.. Yes they are required to practice on top of earning a degree..
So maybe the college should cut them a check then turn around and charge them for the steak dinners, room and board, medical expenses, clothing, tuition and books, parking..![]()

In Respose to above message,
People can’t compare their kids who are regular students to the athletes. I hate to break it to people but Henry T is far more valuable to the University of Tennessee than an ordinary student. One helps generate multi millions of dollars and the other doesn’t. This isn’t the football players of the 90’s with bs degrees to play and learning disabilities. I could understand that arguing point if that were still the case. I think a lot of people have an issue with these kids being far more intelligent and educated and realizing how monopolized the business is and the amount of money that’s being made off their body of work and voicing legitimate issues.I don’t agree with every demand they have by no means but people are more afraid of the fact that college athletes are actually educated and it’s back fired because administrative bodies can’t piss on them and claim it’s rain anymore.
I was responding to the idea of critical thinking. So you are saying it is the students' job to come up with a plan to pay all scholarship athletes? That's hardly their job.
