Serious question: is hostessgate an issue anymore?

there is another son.. ultimately I think a former QB beomes that guy. :)

He's the guy we have who is one up on Haden.

I'm still enjoying watching him play, but I can't wait to see him back with more involvement in UT football.

You think he'll get heavily involved in the behind the scenes stuff?

I see Peyton cutting a large check and staying out of it for the most part.

when you cut checks for large monies it motivates you highly to be certain it is used wisely, especially if you are a "power personality". :)

I don't think that was the case. the AD didn't get the okay to act until Monday morning of the announcement. The AD informed the HC the previous evening he was seeking approval to act so statement could not have been made after game by the HC.

He certainly knew after the game as a staff they were in trouble but at that point no decision had been made. Wasnn't made until Monday.

Why was his daughter so distraught after the USC game if she did not know?

But according to you he and she did not know he would be fired after that game. I guess you are telling me that she just takes UT losses very hard.

I double posted the response and changed this second one to duh.

I wasn't there so don't know if they cried or not. I know there were reports of that but reports are not always accurate. And maybe she cried after all games.

I'm extremely comfortable with what happened from Sunday through late Monday afternoon.

I don't remember negative press from anyone who mattered. The most negative it got was after the next weekend's game. It was a decision that had to be made and he made it. Good grief people will complain about anything

Hamilton wasn't the only man in power wanting the decision announced early. After the South Carolina debacle he had little choice in the matter.

Boy, it sure is crazy how the superminority seems to make up the majority of every thread.

that was going to be the hire. Waiting to announce CPF deal after Kentucky was not going to alter who ended up hired.

So, I have been correct all along:

Hambone's machinations were in place long before the season was over - probably as early as the contract extention. And, if I am reading this right, Kiffin was always going to be the replacement? We fired Fulmer mid-season because Kiffin was aleady HC-in-waiting?

By gawd that just makes it gawddam worse!!!!

If this is the way it played out, Hambone should just be fired immediately. He deserves the full excoriation of this NCAA process. It was, after all, the Hambone Experiment. Enough bad press cannot be heaped upon him.

you realize Kiffin still had a job when Fulmer got the extension right?

No. You're reading that wrong. Shocking.
