As I've said multiple times. I truly believe Tennessee is the better team. But I have also reiterated that Oklahoma just poses a bad matchup for Tennessee. Oklahoma's strengths on Offense go up against Tennessee's weaknesses, as Tennessee's strengths on offense play into Oklahoma's strengths. Just looking at the entirety of the game, Tennessee's home field advantage and comfortableness will make up for any weakness. Oklahoma will have to be sharp to win against Tennessee, very sharp.
Reason's why OU and their fans are confident is because they think having a new offense changes anything. But nothing changes the game of the football. You win in the trenches, and I think it is even there when looking at both sides of each team. The difference between the two is that Oklahoma will utilize the short passing game, and Tennessee may or may not. Whoever makes the adjustments to carry-on long, sustaining drives will evidently win the game IMO. Which is why I think Oklahoma will win in a nail-biter, securing a win late with a Mixon-Perine touchdown to put them up by two possessions. I have 38-27 OU.
You are going to find every kind of fan on any board. There is tons of confident OU fans, like there is tons of wait-and-see pessimistic OU fans. Ala the same thing with Tennessee fans on this board. This game is going to be an all-out war, and no one knows how it is going to pan out.
Love reading and getting your perspectives on this game. Win or loss, you guys run a very quality board, and have a incredibly bright future. Trust in Butch Jones, the guy is running a clean and prosperous program.
As I said earlier, I expect the score to be 38-27 Sooners for those who missed it.
Great post but pass defense isn't our weakness . Last year we were number 5 in the SEC in pass defense
