1. Tennessee will go bowling.

2. Richt will be fired after (a) losing to florida (b) losing to someone georgia shouldn't lose to and (c) getting blown out in a game that georgia clearly did not show up in. b and c georgia has done for the last four or five years and georgia fans will say enough.

3. 5 teams from the SEC west will be better than all but 1 team in the SEC east.

4. lsu, arkansas and miss state will all beat someone they are not supposed to.

5. Alabama will lose twice.

6. Florida and alabama will split their meetings this season.

7. Steve spurrier will retire

8. Everyone will fully appreciate how good bobby johnson and rich brooks were as coaches as kentucky and vandy will have trouble putting their helmets on correctly this season

9. Two SEC teams will make BCS bowls and win. But, the SEC does not have the national champion this season

10. Tennessee's season will not be pretty, but fans will see enough to be encouraged

Kentucky will be worse, but their schedule is such a joke that they will still go 6-6/7-5.

You think UGAs new AD is going to pull the plug on Mark Richt? No chance.

So, who do you think will be the NC then, if not an SEC team? I didn't think it was possible for a team outside the SEC to win...lol.

Maybe Texas? They came so close last year.

1. The new Vandy head coach will provide the best sound bytes of all in the SEC.

Oklahoma isn't winning the NC....as much as it pains me to say it....I think Ohio State has a better shot

Saying Tennessee will go bowling this year.....slightly more optimistic than I care to be.....

Georgia will win the SEC east and beat Florida

1. TN goes bowling - Agree. 6-6 regular season; wins bowl.
2. Richt fired - Nope.
3. 5 SECW teams better than all but FL in SECE - Nope. USCe & UGA will both be better than the MS schools.
4. LSU, Arky, & OM beat someone they're not supposed to. Probably. Hope it isn't Bama...
5. Alabama will lose twice - Could easily happen.
6. FL & Bama play twice & split their games - Could easily happen.
7. Spurrier retires - I think so. He's burned out IMO.
8. KY & Vandy will miss their old coaches - Agree.
9. Two SEC teams win BCS bowls, but not NC - Probably. Too many opportunities for losses amongst the SEC teams. An undefeated SEC team is a shoo-in for the BCSCG, but going undefeated is a tall order. TX & OSU have good shots at the BCSCG.
10. TN season is ugly, but fans see a silver lining - Agree.

1. Agree. TN will surprise as long as they stay healthy.
2. Georgia has another mediocre season, but Richt keeps his job because they are transitioning defensive schemes.
3. 3-4, not 5
6. Alabama and FL will not play twice as Auburn surprises and wins the West.
8. As good as Brooks was, Joker Phillips will be just as good.

Les Miles makes a bone head call that causes them loose a close one at home to TN making the temperature of his seat rise 1000 degrees.

1. OK
2. No way. Georgia goes 9-3, maybe 8-4 at worst, gives Florida a good game and finishes 2nd in the east.
3. No. SC and UGA will be good teams.
4. OK
5. Perhaps.
6. If they play twice, OK
7. OK
8. 100% agree
9. OK

Georgia is 10-10 vs the sec east in the last 4 years.

That includes 3 losses vs vandy and ky.

He was forced to get rid of members of his staff.

I think the seat is hotter than most believe, especially if he loses to florida again, to an inferior opponent again and gets blown out by a team of equal strength.

I think all those things happen....again

Florida 9-3, UT 8-4, USC 7-5, UGA 6-6, UK, 4-8, Vandy 2-10....and yet UF may not win the East?

1. Tennessee goes 8-4 wins against UT martin, Oregon(similar to 06 cal), UAB, UGA, South carolina, Memphis, Vandy, and Kentucky. I think we play florida close and choke the ole miss game at home some how. I dont know why people are in love with south carolina their offensive line allowed the most sacks in the conference last year and UGAs same oline has been average for the last 3 years whats different now.
2. Richt will be fired after this year when they go 6-6 UT could be the ones to put the nail in the coffin.
3. 5 is a reach Bama is a clear 1 and Florida the clear 2 then the third place team is up in the air so many questions Lsu is the most likely choice with all the talent and a returning quarterback also arkansas is in this conversation but we will have to see if they play defense, note how i said talent so that excludes south carolinas offense.
4.Agreed I think Lsu or arkansas have a chance to get bama i do expect mississippi state to play alot of teams tough this year.
5.Possibly with alot of loses on defense someone could get them early, and their offense isn't designed to run people out of the stadium.
6.They might no be able to split meetings if they dont get to the sec title game, florida offense will be similar to the 2006 in which it was good they will struggle to run the ball with out tebow cause they like a true "running back" look for sophomore michael Gilassee to make some plays. Brantley is going to get roughed up running the spread in the sec ask colt mccoy he didnt last a quarter.
7.That will happen Ut could potentially get three coachs fired this year miles, richt and spurrier. Lsu plays west virginia and florida before and after they play ut you think we might get looked over i think so.
8.Fact Warren Norman will be the only thing to watch on vandy and it might be a while till kentuck gets close to beating UT again.
9. This is very likely becasue bama and florida will beat up on each other but who knows lsu did get in with 2 losses in 2007. Ohio state should be there but TP is capable of playing mediocre and Texas will not be the same b/c all of gilberts passes were 8 yards accross the middle and shipley ran OU wins the big 12.
10. I guess 8-4 would make dooley coach of the year in the conference people worry about the oline. But juwaan has the same amount of tackle reps then douglass, and has actually played the position before. The sullins brothers played hard but now we wont have walkons on th line so there wont be a real drop off at center and Lg. losing scott and mcclendon is where there will a dropoff but its not like poole is going to get tackled and lose 5 yards every time and when simms drops back he gets sacked.

Rich Brooks was 16-39 in the conference over his career. Bobby Johnson was 12-52 in the SEC and 0-8 last season.

Which way have they been putting their helmets on?

I dont know about Brooks, but I know that Johnson and Vandy lost 26 of his 52 loses by 7 points or less. I know that close does not win games....but it helps make Vandy fans feel a little better. I hope.
