I was too young to know the announcers. Bill Dundee, Jimmy Hart, and Jerry Lawler were big time celebrities as far as I knew.Lance and Dave Brown? That was excellent announcing- Solid in the play by play and the color commentary! Throw in a little Jimmy Hart sitting in offering commentary on the First Family of Wrestling. Can't be beat.
I thought they were just leaning way back in their chairs. I kept turning up the volume to hear what they were saying. Then, when something exciting happened, they sat up in their seats and would yell something like BOOM into the mic. With the volume up, they made me jump.Ive commented on this in the football forum before but now I'm noticing the same thing with basketball games. why do they suppress the crowd noise during these broadcasts? it's awful listening to nothing but the broadcasters without hearing the crowd when a big play happens.
