SEC Expansion

I'm a big fan of re-alignment because Missouri is not in the east - this makes the most sense...
but I wouldn't add anybody.

SEC East:
Florida
Georgia
Tennessee
South Carolina
Kentucky
Auburn
Vanderbilt

SEC West:
Texas A&M
LSU
Alabama
Arkansas
Ole Miss
Missouri
Miss St

That would end UT vs Bama unless SEC goes to 9 games.
Auburn HAS to play Bama every year.

NO WAY! If anything... RETRACT!!! Gid rid of A&M, SC, ARK and MIzz! Go to 10 and play a round-robin style schedule and ditch the SECCG!!! UNLESS... there are 2 teams with the same record. Then play the SECCG at a neutral site.

Yes, would be great for the Vols if they can expand and go to a 9 game rotational conference schedule. You play one regular rival every year(Ours would be Vandy or UK), and the rest of the opponents rotate. You’d get lucky some years with an easier slate. Right now we play the best from the East and West EVERY YEAR.

We would gain a lot from this change.

Wouldn't work since Bama would have to lose either UT or Auburn. Also, if you believe CFB is cyclical, then 4 of the big 6 are in the east. Need to have an even split of Bama, LSU, UGA, UT, UF, and Auburn.

You guys do know it’s all about tv foot print right?
West Virginia adds nothing . GT adds nothing, UCF adds nothing. Oklahoma schools, Virginia schools, NC schools minus Wake Forest all add value. Those are the only 3 states that would be part of expanding the SEC unless Texas really wanted to be in.

Keep the same teams, do away with the divisions. Each school gets 3 permanent rivalry games that are played every year, and 5 games that rotate through the other 10 conf. teams. You play every conf. team almost every other year that way, and in any event, you play every team at least twice in every four year period. So for example, a 4 year UT schedule could look like this (in no particular order and assuming our permanent games are Bama, Vandy and Kentucky):

Year 1: @bama, Vandy, @UK, aTm, @Miss St., LSU, @Mizzou, USCjr
Year 2: Bama, @Vandy, UK, @Florida, Ole Miss, @Ark, UGA, @Auburn
Year 3: @bama, Vandy, @UK, @aTm, Miss St., @lsu, Mizzou, Auburn
Year 4: Bama, @Vandy, UK, Florida, @Ole Miss, Ark, @UGA, @USCjr

UCF is the most obvious choice. It's the largest school in Florida with over 65,000 enrollees. That translates into big dollars, big facilities, etc. GA Tech, Va Tech, WVU, OK St are all too entrenched in their conference to pull them out. I think Memphis would be a great addition, but Ole Miss would probably block that.

Don't see an expansion but just to play along I'd invite.....

Presuming they wouldn't get blocked by current rivals

Oklahoma State
Virginia Tech
Louisville
Florida State

This. The SEC isn't adding in teams in states that already has an SEC team.

The west is overloaded they get Memphis, get rid of A&m, make Mizzou west

The east gets WV, NCst/GT/UCF

OU should not be sec same with A&m

Oklahoma & Virginia (Both schools strong in basketball & football)

As mentioned above,...Must be virgin TV market or the deal gets blocked. For example, SC would never approve Clemson.

The SEC wouldn't even want that because they already have the SC market with SC.

The problem with OU and Virginia is I'm pretty sure both are tied closely to Oklahoma St. and Virginia Tech.
