Per joe alleva Florida has not reached out about playing on Nov 19th. If they dont play on that date its more they dont want to lose a home game. This is all on florida and the SEC LSU tried everything to play this week. Had transportation and hotel for them said they would play Saturday,Sunday,or Monday also said they would fly in the Sunday and fly out after the game.
Per ESPN and the Associated Press yesterday:
On paper, it sounds simple when you consider the options. The first is Nov. 19, a weekend in which Florida hosts Presbyterian and LSU hosts South Alabama. Both are relatively minor nonconference games which have zero bearing on the SEC race, so theres the thought that both teams could scrap those opponents, and Florida could host LSU then.
Well, not so fast. As ESPNs Brett McMurphy reported, Florida offered that to LSU and LSUs administration declined, wanting to keep that home game with South Alabama and all the revenue that would come with it. Buyouts for South Alabama ($1.5 million) and Presbyterian ($500,000) would have to be paid. You'd also be taking a football game away from two programs that want this game, no matter the eventual outcome. LSU would also have to play on the road against a physical Florida team before a Thursday-night game with Texas A&M. Maybe you could move that game back to Friday or Saturday, but now youre involving TV issues and affecting five teams.
Florida offered to play LSU on Nov. 19 & cancel Presbyterian game, but LSU refused, source told @ESPN. LSU hosts South Alabama on Nov. 19
