utmba, we are talking about BCS FOOTBALL! Not how people raise their kids. If you can't separate the two then I don't know what to tell you. And yes, anyone who goes down with the ship when they don't have to is a fool. As Demosthenes said, "He who fights and runs away lives to fight another day."

As for my core beliefs, those have aboslutely nothing to do with the GAME of football.

As to petrino, look at Lousiville this season, lot of petrino players were told to hit the road, problem people. Let's see who and what he brings to the table and how he gets them there, how long they stay, etc. Yes I beleive he can coach. As a VOLfan I fear neither him nor the others but have a lot of respect for Spurrier and Richt, Croom has shown a lot of guts too, Brooks has demonstrated he might do more with less than most of his SEC brethren, and I think Tuberville is pretty fiar coach also. Still all in all the only intriguing coach to me to replace CPF would be Spurrier...that has crossed my mind a few times when it is in a "What if" stage. Reality is it aint going to happen and its a good thing I respect CPF cause he is gonna stay the man in orange for a few more years.:victory:

why you bustin nutt's chops?

2 SECCG appearances in the last six years is pretty good. I the 4 years before that, he did a pretty good job rebuilding a team that was left for dead.

he didn't "rebuild" crap--danny ford left him a cupboard full of talent (remember stoerner, lucas, kennedy, ford? all ford players). nutt did well with them and claimed the credit. as a recruiter, nutt is incompetent. he consistently ranked in the bottom three of the sec. the irony is that it looks like he is walking into the same situation in ole miss. orgeron left him a pot full. i wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't make some noise for the next couple of years, but after, if he hasn't mended his ways, it will be all down hill.

Nutt just won 10 games and 8 games with his own players.

You appear to be a Hog fan disillusioned like Ole Miss fans were regarding Coach Cut. The pot is no where near full at ole miss. They suck and have no players, thus they fired their coach.

As for Nutts recruiting ability - Arkansas is a state that is devoid of in-state talent. He did remarkably well considering. And he will do much better at Ole Miss just based on the simple number of potential D1 in-state talent.

Ogre actually recruited very well at Ole Miss. That cupboard IS full.

Also: Arkansas has more instate talent than Mississippi.
