They should put a disclaimer on the amount that says "loyalty over the decades means nothing". Seeing all of these stories of families who have been coming since before I was born being passed over is disheartening to say the least. I think a lot of these donors might be businesses anyway where giving 5k-10k isn't anything to them, and they end up getting all the perks above regular folks giving money out of their own pockets. It's a shame. TN's most loyal may not be in attendance this year, by the looks of this thread.

That is just not true, 2 tickets it Section T or Terrace, your donation is 5K. If you have 4 tickets where most grandfathered tickets are it is 2K. I have family tickets that have been since the 50's but since they have past, the only way to keep them is to pay the donation.

I'm in the same boat. Had to pay after my folks passed. This may be politically incorrect here, but the act of grandfathering the tickets (since '86, a third of a century), was a nice gesture on their part, and for those grandfathered, saved a lot of money. If you could hop in a time machine and go back to '86, and get this question put to you "In the year 2020, there will be a pandemic. Those who haven't made donations will be perhaps left out as stadium capacity is reduced. Would you like to donate for your seat, or stay grandfathered in?" I know, a weird hypothetical, but I'll bet most would take the 33 years of no donations, and say to heck with 2020.

Only reason I have an outside shot is that my parents passed a decade ago. Hope I don't draw too much lightning stating this. As this situation materialized (beginning back when Spring practice was cancelled), I thought, oh brother, Fulmer and company CANNOT pull this off without someone feeling screwed. Just no way. There is no perfect solution to this problem.

UGA has over 50% of their ticket holders opt out. They also gave donors the option of choosing which games thy wanted tickets to, and allowing the remaining cost to be donated to their fund. Donations to the fund count double for points in their loyalty system.

Florida was offering experiences in exchange for forfeiting their tickets and instead donating into their fund. Like a deep sea fishing trip w Mike White or sitting at a football game in 2021 with Steve Spurrier

I appreciate you stating this. The VASF has been in place for over 3 decades and while loyalty is important, grandfathered ticket holders have been allowed to keep seats that would have cost anyone else hundreds and thousands of dollars per seat in donations for each of those 35 years.

I don't have any family ties to Tennessee not being native and being the first in my family to attend college. I get the family history thing but to expect benefits from that to continue for several decades and not recognize what the UTAD has already done gets tiring.

Yes. I have 4 tix in Z11 and my offer received today is 2 tix in the upper level.
Do you get to defer the 2 paid for, but unused tickets to 2021? Was there any verbiage in the offer on how they handle that? Perhaps it's been posted before, and apologize in advance for maybe being a redundant question.

So I just checked my account again and now I have 4 tix in Section O. FWIW I was wondering the same thing about how my money for the other 2 tix would work.

Looks like they are still seating in lower bowl.

Did you receive an email to check your account, or just log on to see the activity. I've been checking mine 2 or 3 times a day, but nothing yet. Thanks.

I received an email today @ 12 noon and the offer was for 2 tix in the upper level. I logged in a little while ago and now it is 4 tix in Section O. Seems like as others decline it automatically re-seats you.

"No email in the mail today"
It's pretty quiet in my inbox, and at Allvols.com. Beginning to think it won't happen for me this season.

For those following this thread, any news of when you get the emails from UT and what their instructions are would be nice. Also, for those that get seats, where are they located. The few that have posted here have all been lower level., So maybe the "po folks" will end up in the upper deck if there is another wave of assignments.

Would also assume we will get a "the process is complete, thanks for participating, see you next year" email.

Wondering if someone can clear something up for me. In my "allvols.com" account, I see: Points, Rank and Total Members. That's the only data I have.

Is the rank and total members within a tier (foothills, trailblazer, mountaineer.. etc) or overall?

For me, it says Total Members, 11640. If anybody has a different total members number, it must be within a tier.

Gosh, it's never mattered until now.

A buddy who's rank is around 1,800 on list, texted me this morning. He has lower level end zone seats and he was offered seats in opposite end zone at about the same row. So seats are comparable.
I’d bet a lot of people w tickets on the sideline got reassigned to the corner/end zone and declined

That’s total members for all levels. That 11640 is the same for everyone. I don’t think there’s any way to know where you are within your donation level.
