game day that college sports is no longer amateurism, with the
coming in.
But there has to be an emotionally intelligent component that says just because a kid drops a pass or misses a kick, doesn’t mean he should be ostracized because he’s paid.
Discernment is key. I’m not saying athletes should be without accountability but some people take it way too far and go on social media and in these kids DM’s to bash them unnecessarily.
And I’m not accusing anyone at VN for doing that. But athletes read message boards and social media. They see the negative
said about them. I just wish people put themselves in these kids shoes because there’s a ton of pressure now, especially now that gambling is so rampant.
