Scares me! Team's unusual arrangements

I stand corrected guys. The Breeder's Cup is little more than a swap meet. This is yet another example of the incompetence of the Jones era. FAHR Butch!!! We all know the Metropolis that is Lexington has more than enough quality rooms that are literally walking distance from the stadium. FAHR Butch

I knew you'd come around.:hi:

Keep in mind, the Breeders' Cup attendance is counted cumulatively over the two days. At any given time, no more than 40K-50K people will be in attendance. And yes, many of those ~50K people who attend Day 1 events are the same folks counted in the ~50K of Day 2. So it's really nowhere close to 100K different people.

Ok you've convinced me...horse racing pales in comparison to Wildcats football. :)

I was wrong too Reader. We underestimated the juggernaut that is Wildcats football and foolishly assumed they give a crap about horse racing in Kentucky. :pinch:

I just checked. Cheapest seats available for Saturday. $500 per.
You're right man. The BC is not a big deal at all the UT vs UK football game is an international boon.

Cash cow! Betcha can't get a ticket! :w00t:

Most really don't, honestly. Most people that attend the big races tend to care about the partying in the infield more than the actual racing. It's wild down there.

Oh look, logic flew over head. Shocking.

Can't wait for your next witty, yet ill informed response.

The Preakness infield was crazy. Imagine all major frats coming together for one big party then putting them on steroids

Sure you can! But the rate you pull outtaya butt? You won't have to wait much. Endless content!

Just so us'n "ill-informed" can stay abreast? Your position is that our travel staff waited till a week ago to book travel arrangements and hotels were sold out in Lexington because of the football game. We then had to book in Cincinnati last minute and the Bengals sweetened the package. Horseracing meh Butch bleh? Gotcha! Don't ever leave us...WE NEED YOU!

80% of this team never stayed in Cincinnati and only 50% rode a bus longer than 2 hours in Kentucky

The guy worried about constipation made me wonder what percentage of the team never had to poop on a bus toilet. Given the veritable embryonic age of most of our players, I wonder how they will cope with that. Bus toilets will rattle even the most grizzled veteran.

Never said any of that. Not that you know how to read

Are they flying to Cinci and then bussing down. Or treking by bus all the way to Cinci and back. If they are bussing the whole time, that's outrageous.....

5 hours from Nashville and I-65 throughout the whole damn state of Kentucky is under construction. I made the trek back in September and it sucked. Not sure how far it is from Knoxville though

Cincy to Lexington?

I've done it in just over an hour....

Bought a vehicle through a local dealer 20 years ago. They had to locate what I wanted at another dealership in Louisville. To save $500, the wife & I drove the vehicle they were "trading" them for the one we bought. One thing we noticed was that every car we passed with KY tags contained truly ugly people. Ever since when we see a car with KY tags, we look at each other and say, "I bet they're ugly." 9 times out of 10, they are. I'm no prize, but dang. These folks were uglier than a mud fence.
