The AD who just left was a joke. He botched an investigation of our softball team.
Even the great Jeremy Maclin (not a very outspoken player) said he was glad the AD Rhoades was gone. A few other former players agreed.
This is not a bad day for MU nation, to say the least
So it's impossible for Tennessee to get back to the top where they belong after being down? And how stupid to think we can turn the corner after losing 4 games by a combined 17 points (3 of those losses to top 10 teams). UT also returns 17 starters on top of all of that. I don't see any reason at all why UT is being picked to win the East........
I'm going to just go ahead and apologize now for what Mizzou football is about to become for the next decade. Your pinnacle wasn't that high, so the fall won't hurt too badly. But even Vandy's 4-5 win teams are likely going to look forward to playing Mizzou for awhile.
I agree with the record but I think UF will win it again. I think we lose to UA, aTm, and SCAR.
We've won the last 3 games by a combined 8 points. For those wins we need a miracle catch, a miracle comeback, and a miracle fumble. Laugh all you want but until I see us blow them out I'm going to worry our miracles have run out. Oh and Butch is 0-2 against Muschamp
I see this being more honest than condescending. We have some sensitive folks on this board.
I guess I've just seen a whole lot worse on this board from opposing fans. I just didn't think this post warranted such Jimmie rustling and teeth gnashing. But if that's your thing, go for it.
Take it easy on the Missouri fan guys. I'd be in a bad mood too if my school had no chancellor, no president, an AD who just left for Baylor (of all places), and a first year football coach.
And wasn't their basketball program recently in trouble with the NCAA?
I'm just surprised they read the paper in SC!
If Bob Shoop makes as much difference as many think he will in improving the defense and the Vols are not decimated with injuries (you just never know)
I see a 10 win season if not better

Have to disagree with some of those points. There would have,or should have, been a pass interference call on North's catch as you could clearly see the defender holding his other arm down. Also, that wasn't a "miracle fumble", the ball was stripped and was an excellent play by Foreman. The comeback can be debated either way honestly, to me it looked like we adjusted and Carolina choked a bit. Losing to Muschamp had everything to do with Florida and nothing to do with him. Imo
Columbia SC paper is skeptical of TN as the East pick:
Tennessee Volunteers football favored to win SEC East | The State
This mirrors the attitude of the fans down here in SC. They think TN is way overhyped and will likely win 8 games again.
While I think we are better than that, I do believe this team is a little over hyped.
After living in Nashville, I moved to Columbia, SC in the late 80's they did a much better job than The Tennessean covering HS football and athletics in general.
Don't knock the state too much because your momma and daddy's relatives may have come thru that way originally. Just saying because the east coast is generally where most of us likely originated that settled in TN.
They bring valid points that can't really be argued. Love me some Vols but they gotta start beating their rivals.
Go Vols :rock::rock::rock:
The fumble was a good play but you can't and shouldn't expect turnovers to stop drives. They were driving and the D didn't have an answer until that play. Foreman made a great play but that ball comes out maybe 10% of the time.
I think the miracle in 2014 was not being flagged for roughing the QB when Barnett dragged him and then O'Brien pushed him. Luckily the officials didn't want to decide the outcome of that game, but if happened against someone like Bama there would have been a flag
