Well, it does weigh heavily at any rate, no denying that.. ypu have to show your kids how to treat partners or they will pick up what hip hop or whatever else culture they identify with

As I'm the OP, the post wasn't so much about what the details were. More that our depth was going to take a hit.

The Akron game is a tune up and this kid probably would have played, which means now someone up the ladder will have to play. Not a big thing, but little things can cause problems....

A great deal of our problems on all levels is rooted in society as a whole. Somewhere in the 1960s, we began to lose our old time moral values, and it got worse thereafter. Don't politicize this link, I share it to illustrate both the lack of value too many men treat women, and the utter lack of morality in society today. It infects even the so-called pillars of society.

Simple rule that works for all kinds of interactions.

For some, going to jail is a chance to reconnect with old friends. For others it’s a chance to wreck your career. If you are in the latter category you have to walk away.

I was falsely accused of domestic violence. Burden of proof is on the accuser at the end of the day. Wait for the truth to come out before passing judgement either way. If nothing is ever conclusively proven don’t judge either party.

Oh yeh back in the good old days when it was okay to beat your wife and women weren't allowed to do anything outside the house.

This wasn't the good old days. See the date on the article. The point is society as a whole has degenerated even worst rather than evolved for the better.

Looking at the data on violent crime overall. Things got progressively worse from WW2 until about 1990. For the last 30 years, America has become less violent.
There was about half the rate of violent crime in 2019 as there was in 1991.

If the kid is guilty he deserves what he gets.
I do however miss the days when it was innocent till proven guilty!
People now get destroyed in the public eye and careers ended before the truth even is determined.
Sad times

It is… and as I said he deserves what he gets. I will say again as a generalization, perhaps we should hear the whole story ON ALL FUTURE CASES before we condemn.
