Savion Herring arrested

False accusations are far and away the exception, not the rule, and far too many cases of domestic and/or sexual violence go unreported. It’s possible, and imperative, to truly withhold judgment and give both accuser and accused the benefit of the doubt in these cases. “Let’s wait to see what happened” shouldn’t mean implicitly throwing the alleged victim under the bus.

While your follow-up statement is very sadly true to the point of being indisputable, to wit: far too many cases of domestic and/or sexual violence go unreported. Your leading statement in no longer gospel. False accusations are no longer far and away the exception, especially since the MeToo movement, which was fully justifiable in its original form and intent. We are now flooded with Karen incidents, women creating negative situations and exploiting the same, taking full advantage of the daddy's little girl, poor gal, and other ingrained assumptions/views of women as victims by default. Now, less some presume to justify my statements as an excuse for woman-hate, a bit of shocking news. Women are human beings, and like all of us some are no less fallible, ambitious, self-serving, and the like as men. It wouldn't surprise me if serious research showed the historical behavior of men has taught women to be Karens, duplicitous, and false accusers we're increasingly seeing now. So now, more than ever, facts of incidents need to be collected, so there's no miscarriage of justice. I've been a direct witness of what happens when this isn't done. Even when witnesses tell the cop what actually transpired. If Mr. Herring really did what's alleged, and I suspect he did because Heupel impresses me as someone who makes sure he knows the facts before acting, then good riddance, Mr. Herring. Sue the sheep out of him, girl, for all the law allows.

I won’t try to say when or in what political camp it started, but I do think popular culture which normalizes referring to women as bit**es, hoes, and birthing parents has led to an erosion of respect for women and hence encouraged bad behavior. Emphasizing that women are particularly deserving of kindness and respect might be a good way to turn that around.

Obviously you are referring to the Southern Baptist.

20 years, 700 victims: Southern Baptist sexual abuse spreads as leaders resist reforms

EXACTLY!!! We just saw a female Duke basketball player make sorts of false accusations about a fan in the stands at BYU. They reviewed the film and the guy was completely innocent, never made the comments attributed to him. Ms. Staley of USCjr of course rushed to judgement and made an ass of herself jumping the gun. How quickly we forget the Duke lacrosse team and many other falsehoods that prevail initially. Not ever domestic violence victim making that claim is legit. Let the facts prevail and act accordingly.
Duke has a history of false allegations.

Duke Volleyball, not basketball. I would hope Kara Lawson the HC for the basketball team would hold her girls more accountable for their false accusations than what the volleyball coach did.

A woman dies from physical abuse by a boyfriend or husband every five hours. The best data says over half of domestic violence cases are never reported. One in four women will be physically abused in her lifetime. Of women, one in four college freshman will be raped by someone they know. Under .5% of cases involve false accusations. That means about 99.5% of the accusations are true, of the 50% that are reported. As with many of the “epidemics” tearing through society, this story of venomous lying women is made up. I appreciate all your well-reasoned logic regarding your experiences with “crazy women”. Thoughts and prayers for all your suffering. It’s tough being a guy. To be clear, you may very well have a story about some dude you know who knows some guy who was attacked on a dark road by a wild woman with rabies. You probably also know somebody who knows someone who won the lottery. If you can’t comprehend that a crime investigation about a woman who was beaten probably isn’t the time or place for that story, maybe you should ask a grownup for help.

Duke has a history of false allegations.
Last time they sided w/ the accusers instead of their students before they had all the facts. This time they sided w/ the accuser/student instead of waiting for the full facts to come out.
0 for 2. Wish I could say that I’m surprised, but it’s Duke and Durham.

If it is recorded on camera, he is toast and should be. If not, don't rush to judgment. The media falsely reports stories that fit their agendas. Duke volleyball, Duke Lacrosse, Jussie Smollet and many others, but if there is proof of him striking her he should pay the price.

It sounds like Heupel and Danny White have all the evidence they need. He’s no longer on the roster. I don’t think anyone wants to throw someone off the team, therefor I believe that whatever they have on tape gives a clear indication of what happened.

Joe Mixon slapped the botox out of a girl and he is still playing with the Bengals!

Not that it excuses him given how ineffective her action was, but you forgot, to mention, he did hit her after she physically attacked him. One of the frequent things men face is people ignoring the other side of man vs. woman stories. If she had or attempted to knife him, laying his hands on her could be excused. But her little fist punches, on his shoulder if I recall right, didn't result in even physical movement on his part resultant of the blow. A walkaway would have been the obvious choice, and might have worked, assuming she didn't follow him and maintained the attack. But the real point is, make sure the whole story is told, not just a selective piece of it.

To be clear she slapped him first and he hit her back but his blow was way too much of a response. At worst he should have just pushed her away from him to get some distance at best he should have just walked away. To his credit he has been a model person since.

Finally, re-found the video. Really, he could have just walked off from the girl right after she shoved him. No need to even shove her back, just walk away. No audio, but I'd wager she said something derogatory that triggered him. Just the same, a walkaway would have ended it all right there.

No idea the circumstances so I won’t comment on his situation. Young men need to learn to remove themselves from these situations when they can. If you’re in a relationship with crazy get out. If you’re in a heated argument take a walk and cool down. It’s just not worth letting a bad decision ruin your life.
Agreed, and I have already explained the hot/crazy matrix to my son.. I told him to go for the quietly pretty girls with other things going for them in their lives than just boys..it’s pretty simple 😂.. but there are crazy men and crazy women.. let those who know the details make the decisions

In every situation, it has to be taken case by case. There is no RULE … crazy heads come in both genders. If men will be MEN and women will be .. ladies … 99.9 % of this junk goes away.

Looks like the evidence was conclusive enough for CJH to pull the trigger immediately on this one. When will these kids learn? If you hit or shove a girl, or put your member in without asking, your football career is done. It's that simple.

Out of all of these similar allegations that have happened at UT, how many have been proven false?

1. AJ
2. ?

I'm pretty sure there have been fewer false allegations then there have been things that were covered up.
