I agree he can teach defense. If only there werent two other aspects of the game..

Saying a Div 1 coach knows football is fairly redundant. Not sure how that is supposed to be anything special to say about one.

I haven't made my mind up about him as a HC. However to this point there zero reason to see greatness in him.

Well other than he is wearing orange.

I guess what i meant was i think he knows and can teach it, but like i said only time will tell. But i agree with most of the things you said.

That's impressive that you have owned a business for 33 plus years and graduated high school in 1987. You must have started when you were like 15 or 16.You stated you dont mind a debate. Is it really a debate if you only value opinions that match yours?

I think the vast majority on this forum can all agree that we always want the Vols to win, but wanting them to win and believing they can are 2 entirely different things. I dont fault anyone for having what you consider a negative view of the performance on the field. I do have a problem that anyone would think people aren't entitled to that opinion. You are what your record says you are and until we see more wins than losses I'm afraid the negative perspective will be more accurate than sunshine pumping.

How do you figure that?...What exactly has this staff done to show you they are the right people in charge?...I can tell you this much, We got an OC that has the IQ of a tomato and a head coach who kicks white boards....Other than that they have shown NOTHING that proves they are the right people in charge...They'll get the customary 3 years to show what they can do before the hounds of hell come calling again.

I hope you are correct, and regardless of whether our negative fans are the problem or not, they are still a huge drag on following this program. So blues being here now. These folks literally think that their football wisdom is what makes our program successful. I envision many of these negative posters like the image below, just nothing going on and no hope in anything other than the Vols.

It's the simple truth, sure, but not simple to the point of your adherence to the 'Tinkerbell effect', i.e. believing that something (in this case success by a football team) can be willed into existence through optimism and belief alone. If that were the case, North Korea would be a world superpower by now based upon the largely uniform and brainwashed state of their populace. By all means though, keep on keepin' on, bud.

That would be a stupid belief and pretty sure not how I see it. Simple minded people believe that N Korea could bomb the US, they actually believe that a country with 700 miles of paved road is going to shoot us down with a nuke, what a joke.
