The Los Angeles Dodgers have announced they will donate $1 Million to assist families impacted by two weeks of immigration raids in Southern California.

It comes just over two months after the reigning World Series champions cozied up to Donald Trump during a ceremony to mark their success at the White House.

The Dodgers announced the steps in a five-paragraph news release that was delicately worded to avoid potentially inflammatory political terms, and which stopped short of an explicit condemnation of the federal policy.

The team said only that the financial aid would be provided 'for families of immigrants impacted by recent events in the region.'

Bishop Appointed By Pope Leo Descends on California Court to Persuade ICE Not To Deport Migrants

A bishop appointed by Pope Leo descended on a California court today with a dozen other priests and faith leaders in an attempt to persuade ICE against deporting migrants.

Newly-appointed Bishop of the Catholic Diocese of San Diego, Michael Pham made an appeal on June 11, asking fellow men of the cloth to join migrants at hearings at the federal courthouse on June 20, International Refugee Day.

Friday, he was among 16 who went to the Southern California federal courthouse to support the migrants in the US legally who were pleading their cases.

However, one of the priests in attendance believes they did make an impact, telling DailyMail.com that ICE agents left after seeing the priests.

'Our presence made them scamper away. When ICE agents saw us come into the courtroom, they submitted the names and photos of the persons they were seeking to the court, but then they didn't stay to try and apprehend them,' Father Scott Santarosa of Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish told Daily Mail.

Gavin Newsom Sipped Wine at Napa Fundraiser while Anti-ICE Protesters Plunged LA into Chaos

California Gov. Gavin Newsom threw on a pair of sunglasses and sipped wine at a ritzy charity event at his sun-drenched vineyard earlier this month – just as chaotic, anti-ICE protests kicked off in Los Angeles.

One witness was appalled that the Democrat was casually enjoying a glass of vino in a V-neck T-shirt and baseball cap the day after his City of Angels started spiraling into violence, with rioters throwing concrete rocks at cops and vandalizing federal buildings.

But more than 400 miles away, downtown Los Angeles was plunged into chaos the same day – rioters were busted for tossing Molotov cocktails at law enforcement while vehicles were set on fire and scrawled with graffiti reading “KILL ICE” and “F–K ICE.”

The “Vineyard Vibes” event happened on June 7, as one witness there was shocked to see Newsom in a V-neck T-shirt enjoying a glass of wine on the same day protests were breaking out across the City of Angels.

Nassau County Brushes Off NYCLU Lawsuit, vows to move forward with plan to Deputize Local Cops To ‘Partner’ With ICE

Nassau County’s top elected official promised to move forward with plans to deputize 10 detectives to work with ICE, brushing off a new lawsuit that claims the move is illegal under the state’s sanctuary policies.

County Executive Bruce Blakeman (R) said he is “not concerned at all” about the new litigation from the New York Civil Liberties Union and defiantly said the team will move forward regardless of who tries to get in the way.

“We will vigorously defend our right to partner with ICE,” Blakeman said outside of the county legislature Wednesday.

The NYCLU and several immigrant rights groups argue in the suit that the agreement between Nassau police and ICE violates state orders by allowing local officers to act as federal immigration agents.

The lawsuit is the first of its kind in New York State, and attacks the agreement between the county and the federal government — saying it undermines protections against unreasonable searches and seizures.

Trump’s DOJ Sues Orange County, California for Allegedly Hiding Illegal Voter Registrations of Noncitizens

President Donald Trump’s Department of Justice (DOJ) has filed a lawsuit against Orange County, California, election officials, accusing them of concealing voter registrations of noncitizens on its voter rolls.

“Voting by non-citizens is a federal crime, and states and counties that refuse to disclose all requested voter information are in violation of well-established federal elections laws,” Assistant Attorney General Harmeet K. Dhillon of the Justice Department’s Civil Rights Division said in a statement:

Removal of non-citizens from the state’s voter rolls is critical to ensuring that the State’s voter rolls are accurate and that elections in California are conducted without fraudulent voting. The Department of Justice will hold jurisdictions that refuse to comply with federal voting laws accountable.

The lawsuit accuses the Orange County Registrar of Voters, Robert Page, of violating both the Help America Vote Act (HAVA) and the National Voter Registration Act (NVRA) by allegedly refusing to hand over voter information to the Justice Department and hiding voter registrations of noncitizens on the county’s voter rolls.

Mayor Eric Adams on Friday struck a handshake deal with the City Council on a record-breaking nearly $116 billion budget — which would create a new department to regulate e-bikes, sources said.

City Hall also agreed to give the council a major boost in funding for immigration services to the tune of $54.5 million, a source familiar with the deal said.

1751166111282.png
That pot would provide $41.9 million in free legal assistance for migrants facing deportation and who need help with benefits — a sticking point for city Democrats looking to fight back against President Trump’s strict immigration enforcement.

Another $12.5 million would go toward pro bono lawyers who would help unaccompanied minor immigrants in removal hearings, sources said.

“That is more than any other major city in America,” Adams said of the overall immigration pot of money.

BREAKING NEWS: Trump goes to War against 'sanctuary city' Los Angeles with major new action

Donald Trump is ramping up his war against liberal 'sanctuary city' Los Angeles with a new major lawsuit.

The Justice Department, led by Trump appointee Pam Bondi, sued the city on Monday following weeks of anti-ICE riots and destruction.

The lawsuit argues that LA's policies attempting to 'deliberately' thwart the work of immigration agents violate federal law.

'Sanctuary policies were the driving cause of the violence, chaos, and attacks on law enforcement that Americans recently witnessed in Los Angeles,' Bondi said in a statement to Fox News.

NYC Driving School Rigged Driver’s Licenses For Illegal Immigrants — Even If They Couldn’t Drive: DA

A Big Apple driving school paid off DMV examiners to fraudulently fast-track driver’s licenses for illegal immigrants — even if they had no clue how to drive, Staten Island prosecutors said Tuesday.

T&E Driving School in Queens took cash from Chinese immigrants — many of whom didn’t even speak English — and paid off a crew of Department of Motor Vehicles employees on Staten Island to illegally obtain driver’s licenses, District Attorney Michael McMahon said at a press conference.

The crackdown, dubbed Operation Road Test, took down the ring in a joint investigation with state investigators and the US Department of Homeland Security, prosecutors said.

T&E owner Weixian Tan, secretary Weiwen Tan, employee Winnie Yang and school road test driver Wenfeng Yang set up the scam by paying off DMV examiners Aji Idicula, Tianna Rose Andolina and Edward Tarik Queen, according to the indictment.

Celebrating the Fourth of July is proving too dangerous for Los Angeles, prompting municipalities in the area to cancel planned celebrations due to concerns about enforcement actions by U.S. Customs and Immigration Enforcement (ICE) agents. The fear did not impede hundreds from attending a “Sick-of-ICE, Sick-of-Trump” protest in the city Tuesday.

ICE Nabs July 4 Groper Who Was Allowed To Walk Free Thanks To Sanctuary Laws

Immigration agents nabbed an illegal immigrant who sexually assaulted an American woman on Independence Day years earlier — and was let go by local cops thanks to sanctuary laws in Portland, Oregon, The Post has learned.

Mexican illegal immigrant Kevin Contreras-Mendoza, 27, followed a woman on the street in Portland on July, 4, 2018, before grabbing her from behind and violently groping her as she cried out for help, according to the Department of Homeland Security.

1751656570675.png
Contreras-Mendoza was convicted of the sickening attack in 2019.

“Insanely, Oregon authorities failed to honor his detainer to turn him over to ICE. Instead, they released this sex offender into American communities. Thanks to the leadership of President Trump and Secretary [Kristi] Noem, ICE is empowered to arrest and remove sexual predators like Contreras-Mendoza who threaten the freedoms and safety of Americans,” McLaughlin added.

Carnage Breaks Out at Portland ICE Detention Center as woke crowd tries to storm holding cells

Chaos erupted at an ICE detention facility in Portland, Oregon after hundreds of protesters attempted to storm holding cells.

Demonstrators were seen being tackled to the ground as officers deployed smoke bombs and tear gas to try and control the crowd yesterday.

Dramatic footage posted on X by independent journalist Katie Daviscourt shows flares lighting up the night sky, as protesters clash with officers in riot gear who appeared to fire rubber bullets into the crowd.

The demonstration occurred on the 28th day that protesters have been occupying the ICE facility in protest over Donald Trump's immigration policies.

Daviscourt confirmed the protest was declared an unlawful assembly and that several arrests were made. Daily Mail has contacted Portland Police Department for details.

The mayhem Friday broke out just hours after the President signed his so-called 'big, beautiful bill' into law - a sweeping $150 billion package that boosts funding for the border wall, ICE enforcement and deportations, while slashing Medicaid.

In downtown Portland, protesters staged a dramatic ‘die-in’ at Pioneer Courthouse Square, two miles from the ICE facility, to protest the brutal Medicaid cuts tucked inside Trump’s bill.

Iconic city is grinding to a halt as ICE Raids send its many migrant workers into hiding

ICE raids across Los Angeles have driven the migrant workforce into hiding, sparking concerns over the sanctuary city's already rocky economic state.

As the California city tries to recuperate from wildfires, businesses and developers have revealed they do not have the manpower to get these crucial jobs done.

LA has one of the nation's largest immigrant workforces, with nearly 38 percent of workers originating outside the US, according to 2023 data.

Estimates from the Public Policy Institute of California suggest than one in 10 workers in the Golden State are undocumented immigrants, while the Migration Policy Institute reports there are roughly 950,000 'unauthorized' residents in LA county.
