I hate that this has happened and that he made the choices he made. I’m surprised that he was allowed to live off campus this early. What was the line of thinking there? No way in hell I would’ve ever made it as an 18 year old in Knoxville in an off campus environment. I barely did from 20-22
Suspended from the team. Was Willis living in the dorms?

I can’t wait to see him on Last Chance U followed by finishing his career at Auburn.
Why do people keep saying Auburn? Malzahn isn’t there anymore. Don’t see it as the ultimate refuge under Harsin. UCF prolly already texted Salter.

Let's see . . . no tail lights, tinted license plate cover, no driver's license, 03:00 and 4 grams of weed . . . Hmmmm . . . What could possibly go wrong? And just got reinstated to the team 3 weeks ago on essentially drugs and breaking and entering . . . WOW . . . The line from Forrest Gump, "stupid is as stupid does" fits this perfectly.

And now it's time for . . .

This is what happens when somebody from a good upbringing is fascinated with life on the bad side. Away from his parents acting a plum fool. Trying to be something he is not. The big issue herre is: he's really scared. Did any of you ever think about that? Like he's trying to fit in with what he's afraid of. On top of that, his protector his whole life....his dad.....both aint herre and aint healthy. He likely doesn't know how things will end up with his father so that fear is playing well into things as well. The kid needs help BAD!

Was that a Malzahn thing? He wasn’t HC when Cam Newton went there was he?

Weed should be legal. That being said the good book thumping elephant party will never let that “sin” take place in the Volunteer State. Aaand with that being said since it’s not legal my man is a moron for his illegal activities while throwing away a opportunity others would kill for.

Maybe to you it should be. And, 3 or so years ago I would’ve agreed… but as “harmless” as some think it is, I can tell you, in my case, it’s wasn’t. I smoked regularly, for about 10 years. But one day things changes. And it led to a complete psychotic break, during which I had to be hospitalized….I’m talking hearing voices/sounds that weren’t there, extreme paranoia/confusion, and just not being in my right mind….

Up until that point I was a pro-weed guy through-and-through. That was me and my wife’s way of relaxing at night. While hospitalized (at Vanderbilt) my wife and I were tested for other drugs, but there was nothing else in our systems (it wasn’t “laced”), and it only happened to me (not her). This was about 3 years ago and neither of us have taken part since.

I know this probably isn’t a ‘norm’, and I’m going to get hate from all of the pro-weed people, but I don’t care. I’m not lying. Up until that point I was a “pothead”, smoking every day.

This is the first time I’ve shared what happened to me publicly, but I feel like I need to stop acting like it didn’t happen. So anyone else who experienced this doesn’t feel alone, and so that others know that it’s not “completely harmless”. If you do a bit of research you’ll find that my case is not isolated. Yes, my story doesn’t happen to most people, but to me and others it has.

I he were at FL during the Spurrier years he would be held out the first 2 cupcake games and then start against TN. Whats the issue with him being allowed to make mistakes at TN? If the kids good he plays, isn't that the SEC motto?

So where is the picture of Warren Buffet, Mark Zuckerberg and Jeff Bezos blazing up?
There is a very long list of extremely successful business people on the record who smoke pot. Numerous intellectuals. Numerous authors. If you want to be a dumb ass like the other guy and paint people with broad brushes go right ahead. It fits with your posting in the politics forum.

He won't see the field here. How can you possibly invest time in developing this kid when he can't be trusted to stay out of trouble? Like it or not Heupel has to set the tone for UT leadership and it starts with Salter being shown the door.

I think weed should be legal. But that doesn’t mean I don’t think it’s not dumb. You can continue to believe weed is this harmless thing all you want. and you can continue to be wrong. Your opinions are noted. As are your sophomoric insults. That fits your narrative.

True except for book thumping elephant party allowing sin. It will be legal in this state within 10 years. It’s inevitable.
Regardless, this guy is a moron.

I agree weed should be legal.
I disagree that it never will be in Tennessee.
Salter IMO didnt deserve a second chance after the dorm/apartment attack

I for one think he will simply do more stupid s..t as soon as he gets the chance.

Regardless of your feelings pro/con re weed, this guy is here to be the qb. The team leader. If he can't make it to the first practice of the fall without two arrests, I don't think anything else matters. If he can't make good choices to avoid breaking the law, what makes you think he has the intellect/maturity to be a team leader, which a quarterback must be. Can't be a tag-along and play qb. Doesn't work.

I really love the hypocrisy on this site sometimes.

Half you guys literally brag about getting trashed on game day when it goes bad but marijuana is mentioned and holy crap you are suddenly a saint.

Kid clearly has issues but dont lie and convince yourself that his 4 gs is any different than your cabinet full of whiskey.
