Weed should be legal. That being said the good book thumping elephant party will never let that “sin” take place in the Volunteer State. Aaand with that being said since it’s not legal my man is a moron for his illegal activities while throwing away a opportunity others would kill for.
Maybe to you it should be. And, 3 or so years ago I would’ve agreed… but as “harmless” as some think it is, I can tell you, in my case, it’s wasn’t. I smoked regularly, for about 10 years. But one day things changes. And it led to a complete psychotic break, during which I had to be hospitalized….I’m talking hearing voices/sounds that weren’t there, extreme paranoia/confusion, and just not being in my right mind….
Up until that point I was a pro-weed guy through-and-through. That was me and my wife’s way of relaxing at night. While hospitalized (at Vanderbilt) my wife and I were tested for other drugs, but there was nothing else in our systems (it wasn’t “laced”), and it only happened to me (not her). This was about 3 years ago and neither of us have taken part since.
I know this probably isn’t a ‘norm’, and I’m going to get hate from all of the pro-weed people, but I don’t care. I’m not lying. Up until that point I was a “pothead”, smoking every day.
This is the first time I’ve shared what happened to me publicly, but I feel like I need to stop acting like it didn’t happen. So anyone else who experienced this doesn’t feel alone, and so that others know that it’s not “completely harmless”. If you do a bit of research you’ll find that my case is not isolated. Yes, my story doesn’t happen to most people, but to me and others it has.
