"What do I think about the Vols Coach?' "Well, they are a well coached, resilient team, that has an unpredictable offense that makes you have to stay on your toes on defense." Furthermore, our safeties will have to play deep because of their deep threat. It should be a nail biter up to the very end".
"Coach would you like to predict a final score?" Well, okay Tide 54-Tn 3.

Saban on Kim Jong Un: "Kim is doing a good job there, but it's a process and it takes time. Be patient, eventually he will kill off enough relatives and engineers until he gets that ICBM missile system working."

Kinda disappointed in the lil guy.

It was right there, Nick. This is your shot to troll Butch hard. Something like:

"Tennessee? A heckuva resilient team, always showing great resilience. Their eye discipline and will to win are second to none. I've studied their game film. We both want to go 1-0 every week, and we are going to have to implement the game plan brick by brick and stick to complimentary football to pull this one out."

Well, he’s not going to say that we suck and they are going to steamroll us. Even though it’s true he would never say it.

Saban is always going to praise the opponent. He'll even find a way to praise Mercer when Bama plays them in a few weeks. What was interesting about this presser is that he seemed to like how Bama played against Arkansas, even though they had their first couple of turnovers for the season. Still blew out Arkansas 41-9. Saban said, in one of his odd kind of disjointed sentences, "In reviewing the last game, I'd just say that we showed that when we play with discipline, execution and give effort, physical, finish plays, play with the kind of toughness that we're looking for to create the identify that we want as a team, we're a pretty good team."

So no matter what Saban said about Butch and the Vols, if he's saying he's got "a pretty good team," you know it's going to be a blowout Saturday.

I have given the team some leadership reps this week in preperation for the individuals we will face.

Transcript from Nick Saban's Monday Press Conference: "...Tennessee is 3-3, but they're two plays away from being 5-1 (looks away for a few seconds)...and, uh...they're a very dangerous team right now (fidgets with his hands, hides a sly grin). They have a very talented young quarterback in...uh...(turns to an assistant and whispers "What's that kids name again?)...anyhow, they've got a quarterback...I think. Butch Jones and his staff are going to come in here with a motivated, hungry team (snickers loudly)...and we're going to have to play our best football in order to...(long pause, then breaks out in a huge smile)...Aw, hell who's kidding who here? That team is an episode of the Walking Dead, and we're gonna beat 'em like rented mules! Hell, I might go play golf after halftime and let Larry Culpepper coach the second half. If it wouldn't screw the band up, I'd bring five tuba players down outta the stands and let them play offensive line for us. I've already told Bo Scarbrough to take really small steps when he's got the ball, and Jalen Hurts will be wearing welder's goggles just to make it fair against their secondary."

"Alright, let's talk about something important, like who's buying lunch at Dreamland today. C'mon, I'll drive!"

Good one. I needed a good laugh.

In 1974, I think it was, Bear Bryant said Tennessee and UCLA are the 2 most powerful offenses in the country. On Saturday, Tennessee scored 6 points against Bama. Can't remember if they were 2 FGs or a TD with missed conversion though.

"I'm not going to be the coach at Alabama"

"I think Derek Dooley is doing a good job at Tennessee"

See a pattern here?

For those Jones supporters who have the guts to admit they still support him. Want more evidence our coach sucks? It's when other conference coaches compliment the job he's doing, hoping the UT brass is stupid enough to keep him. Want more? How about the SC fans at the game Saturday, wearing T shirts that said Keep Butch Jones.

Because we're sick of listening to Butch?

Press conferences with coaches are not worth paying attention to at all IMO

Most of it is generic coach speak and fluff. If they reveal anything insightful then I'm sure I'll read about it

"I've never seen such complex offensive schemes!" It will be a "Tremendous Challenge" for our defense; but we are looking forward to the "Opportunity". OH Heck; I was reverting back to Mike Dubose! LOL.

I thought this was a quote from Larry Scott from the offensive coaches meeting.
