Ryan McGee article on coach Majors

The Tennessee football "Mount Rushmore" would include coach Majors on it. Arguably, of Tennessee's former coaches only Fulmer has a purer Tennessee pedigree than coach Majors.

As Ryan says "we should all have a life time coach".. Now Ryan, let me say, as life has played out correctly, you are no more the pupil. Take all you have learned from Coach Majors and if you are not now a coach, become one. No greater legacy could Coach Majors have left behind than his ability for you to be a "coach".

Not trying to get into a Majors vs. Fulmer debate here. I hate that they had issues and didn't end well at Tennessee.

However, why do you think Fulmer has a "purer Tennessee pedigree"?

See star Raider's post above. Fulmer spent his entire career at Tennessee, save one year as an assistant at Vandy.

That's kinda what I thought you ment but Iwas curious if you knew something that I didn't. I think its really splitting hairs to call one more pure than the other. I don't hold it against majors that he left. I don't know the situation but maybe he had to leave after he finished playing?
