RW headed back to UT

What a shock. The Crappanoogans are out in force to defend their bigoted, maligering patron saint.

Based on this post, I must assume that your real issue isn't with his play, but rather his comments and personal shortcomings. I've only commented on his play, as did Freak. Any comments stating he dogged it are opinion, not fact, and your personal issue with his comments after his playing career ended have nothing to do with his play at Tennessee. You are entitled to your opinion about his play and him as a person, but expect a response. I disagree with Reggie about a lot of his opinions, but he performed when he was a Vol.

will someone clarify who RWis? Rod Wilks or Renaldo Woolridge? Its a football forum with a basketball icon prefix. confusing, I assume its Rod Wilks as Renaldo seems happy with his music major here as well as that welcome coach Martin song. That didn't lead anyone to believe he wants to leave.

Whether or not you agree with his selection, RW had pretty solid freshman and sophmore years IMO. Maybe you have higher expectations for underclassmen on the defensive line.

Especially when you consider that he would have been playing against a number of junior and senior offensive lineman with much more experience. If nothing else some of those players had at least two years on him in the weight room.

I don't think it's a "problem". How many are ready to play defensive line in the SEC as freshman?

Very few, that's what I meant by it being a problem.

Reggie thought he could come to UT and be great, without putting in the extra work.

Saw every home game he played at UT. Up to the LSU game in '83, he was an inconsistent, talented goldbricker.

People like you kill me, your fat ass stays on the computer all day criticizing players while they bust their butt. Reggie says you can kiss my super bowl rings beyatch

If so, Reggie's struggling with the singular vs plural.

Listen to the speech before the Wisconsin legislature and tell me who he misses with some form of idiocy. Oh, wait. That would require you to actually do some research and know what you are talking about. I'm sure that's not your style.

where do I start? (actually i started by reading his speech)

Reggie's speech was not politically correct.... that I respect

Reggie has some different opinions from myself.... that I respect

Reggie spoke his heart & mind...... that I respect

Tom Cruise and John Trov... have different opinions than myself, but they are successful actors.

Neil Young may have different politics, but he is a talented musician.

Dennis Rodman and myself are very different, but he could play some defense.

Reggie's spin on things didn't make him a less valuable player. He was talented in college and USFL and NFL.

you are very entitled to your opinions and I respect that. I apologize for not previously respecting them in this thread.

Not much. A team where the only guys who play hard are the seniors, and that's only for half the season, isn't going to do much.

Go back to the basketball forum where you belong and leave the football to the real fans. Just about every post you make about football is negative.

In reality, he did that all the time.

Was not gifted aside from football.

His football status gave him a voice that he should have chosen to leave silent.

Yeah, I always ascribe greatness to guys who manage to offend pretty much every ethnic group on the planet with their bigoted ignorance.

hat, if Elton John found a cure for AIDS; brought real peace to the Middle East; stopped the disaster brewing at Fukushima; balanced the federal budget; and got the US Senate and House to agree on anything...you'd still be unable to get past the point that EJ was gay, and a piano player to boot.

I notice you ignored Freak's posts about RW's freshman and sophomore years. Why? Do the numbers not fit your opinion?

You're pi**ing on the grave of a dead man. And a Vol legend. He earned that title. It's not for you, or anyone, to question that. Never a wise move. And you're smarter than that.

Or so I thought.

Go Vols.

Had the pleasure of meeting him when he was with the Showboats. His wife actually worked at a dry cleaners on Mt Moriah in Memphis with my older brother. Got to know him over the years in foundation events run through his agent. Nobody's perfect, but the earlier John Rocker comparison stupid.

Dude, you are barking up the wrong tree. You are out of your league. Not trying to be mean-spirited but it is what it is.

A Celebrity Jeopardy featuring Reggie, John Rocker, and Carl Everett would have been the best 30 minutes in television history.
