10-2 and 9-3 can be the difference of a playoff berth and a chance to play for a National Championship. I just hope this Georgia game does not come back to haunt us. To lose a game you should have won and where your QB and offense played great. Most honest fans and media predicted us 8-9 wins. I think that's what will happen . ,9-3 would be good season. 10-2 would be great
In the SEC you had better not look past any games,A lot more on the schedule than Alabama. A win against Oklahoma may end up being worth a lot more if they continue to perform. A win against Vanderbilt (yes, Vanderbilt) may also end up being worth a lot more if they continue to perform. Maybe more if other teams also continue to play well.
That said, if Tennessee wants to be in the playoffs, then they have to win every game from here on out. 10-2 guarantees nothing. Just puts you in the mix to be picked.
It starts with Mississippi State in two weeks, who'll almost certainly be 4-0, undefeated, playing at home, and looking to make a statement against the Vols in Starkville. Heupel's strugglebus games have always come on the road. I wouldn't for one second be looking past that game in Starkville. Not for one second.
2003....Casey Clausen was our QB. PitifulNever sleep on the Gators. I can’t remember the last time we beat them in the Swamp. That’s another game that worries me
And don't forget at Kentucky. It would be so TN for that to be the "no-show" head-scratching loss of the season.Yep, seems there are more candidates this year than last for that. Miss St. Arky and Vanderbilt could all beat us. OU, Bama and UF are all going to be tough games. The offense should give us a chance to win any game left on the schedule. But the defense is gonna have to come on for us to have any shot at making the playoff.
