Rumors that Tyndall is Done After the Season if Over

Did he get the show cause for having the BBQ or lying about the BBQ?

If Hamilton gives Bruce the heads up about the photo, there is no show cause. Over something that's not even a violation anymore.
It was, according to the mysterious TOS phenomenon, for lying to the NCAA. I just think Hamilton made some poor decisions...maybe poorly influenced or simply dumb...in the way he handled Bruce, and UT lost an excellent coach. Even allowing the "time out" he was levied shouldn't have disallowed him from returning as HBBC, considering how popular a decision it would be throughout the fan base. This current debacle's on Hart, and I wonder what underlying influences kept him from picking up Bruce after Kuonzo split. Nonetheless, Tyndall will hopefully stick around because the program would benefit from it...and from not having to reboot itself again. If he's kicked out, then we should hope Hart will have a change of heart and go after Bruce...buyout and all. As for this never-ending soap opera regarding Tyndall's guilt or innocence: That's on the goons within the NCAA. Something's smelly rotten within their ranks, too.

Pearl signed with Auburn several weeks before Cuonzo bolted for Cal. He wasn't available for Hart to hire. Even if he had been Cheek wouldn't have allowed it, and Pearl wouldn't have worked under Cheek again in all likelihood.

I don't get why some don't get the fact that AU hired Pearl right before we played Iowa in the play in game. We had no opening, and no AD in the world is going to fire their coach before an NCAAT game.

More to the point, Bruce got the show cause because he confessed to lying to the investigator. Had he claimed blurred vision or a medicine reaction or illness regarding the viewing of the incriminating photo, he likely would've skated by.

I don't know about that lol They already had photo evidence that he did it . I don't think anything but confessing when first asked would have kept him out of that show cause

Hamilton made many mistakes lol As far as going after Bruce , I've heard he's a ridiculous buyout . Auburn wanted to make sure he stayed apparently

dead on, why people dont get this is beyond me.......we have to suffer the same speculation again and again.....why people dont read this and learn is beyond me......

its really this simple
as long as cheek is in charge, pearl will never ever coach here.....and its mutual from cheek and pearl both.

There were others. However, I don't doubt Parrish on this, it seems he was getting info from the guy who tipped of NCAA. So he would have known for a while.

Certainly not questioning his sources but I'm just not believing that what a couple of sports writers knew about an NCAA investigation that a AD at a major university couldn't know....

I wish Cheek would retire

Correct but as I remember it, Hamilton knew the NCAA had the photo but did not tell Pearl they had it.
Pearl was then questioned by the NCAA about the event and denied it. As any good D1 coach working the system would have. "where's the blue font"

If pearl had know this before his meeting with the NCAA and been properly advised by the Admin his only option would have been to admit it and take the punishment. A few games suspension maybe a lost scholly .
Today he would be wearing the correct color of Orange and we would all be laughing about the incident that's no longer a violation

I really like tyndall as a coach. Think he is a great coach especially with x's and o's. He is seeing now that in the SEC you can't play zone 100% of the time because these coaches will eventually shred it to pieces and im relieved that he is at least trying other defenses. But in this conference he has to recruit good to elite players to win and we have yet to see that. Hopefully when the ncaa stuff is over we will see a change in recruiting

Well whatever this is worth, we're all supposedly in for a big surprise come NSD. Right now we have 2 3 stars signed, and are the favorites to land a 4 star Juco PF named Jackson. We have one recruit committed for the 2016 class, a 4 star PF.

Obviously. But it seems that if Bruce would've been encouraged to hold out on the barn, then he'd tell them to hold their horses and decide after March Madness. Clearly Kuonzo's situation was tenuous at best, and the BBB parade was goung full steam. Also, although it's likely Cheeks is the reason Bruce seems out of potential consideration, what's been publicly substantiated that would support this allegation? Aside from indignant responses, who can answer?

I don't think you can just tell a program wanting to throw millions at you to "hold on" for 3 weeks.

I would guess that OConner had been talking and people he spoke with were quiet as people usually are for sources. I don't know. May be true, may not be.

Cheek is the main reason Tennessee didn't stand behind Pearl. He directed his firing through Hamilton.

The fact that both Hamilton and Cheek knew about it is very unsettling. Also when Hamilton was questioned about the photo he said he had no knowledge of it but will make sure he question his coach about it. Those facts make me sick to my stomach. Coupled with the fact that next recruiting class was going to be epic.

Yeah, I think Hamilton was doing whatever he could to keep job and did whatever he was told to do. Never got the impression he was one who would take a stand. Thing is, Pearl is friendly with Hamilton but clearly harbors I'll will against Cheek. So why would he be cool with the guy who kind of set him up?

Maybe Pearl doesn't see it that way when it comes to Hamilton's involvement.
