RUMOR: Da'rick indefintely suspended?

I long for the day when we can afford to kick off players bc we have equally talented of players behind them.... It is easy to be seen as a "disciplinarian" when you can afford to kick a player off or have a season ending injury occur, I.e. Ark losing their starting) at the beginning of the year

NO PLAYER should ever be put up above the team. It sounds like to me DARICK needs to move on!!! Go back to where he came from!!!

Nashville news reporting Franklins raise and how great Vandy is then reporting DR's suspension. Sharks are circling.

You guys need to get off the kids back. It seems to me like DR can be a little cocky, but that is usually the norm with ultra talented WR's, see T.O and Randy Moss. Honestly though, it seems like he has a genuine interest in this team which people won't give him credit for.

If he had a problem with the upper classmen not supporting the younger guys and was vocal about it then good for him. This was the worst group of seniors I can ever remember, and none of them seemed to want to give it their all, save Austin Johnson, Malik Jackson and Ben Martin.

The truth is Da'Rick is the most physically gifted receiver that we have had in a long time, along with Justin Hunter, and we should be thankful we have someone who can produce like he can.

Until something comes out in the media straight from Dooley's mouth concerning DR's behavior and detriment to the team than you guys need to lay off trashing the guy. I, for one, am a DR supported through all of these baseless rumors and hope that he comes out next year and has another 1,000 yd season. GO VOLS!

It would be nice if some so called adults had enough sense to leave a guy they wouldn't recognize without a jersey on the hell alone.

It would be nice.. It is also unrealistic. Like saying it would be nice for a celebrity to go out and enjoy a night with his/her family without a fan asking for an autograph or pic.. It would be nice, but ain't gonna happen.

LOL, how convenient. "We are suspending you, but you won't miss any games, practices, mandatory bowl meetings, etc."

Give me a break. This is pathetic........you guys know it.

A gator fan talking about pathetic suspensions....hmmmm.... Hello pot, I'm kettle!

the blow up rogers had was actually with a ga. dr was going into the meeting and the ga stopped him and told him he wasnt allowed, or something to that effect. thats when things got ugly.

dr has been having issues with alot of the upper classmen for a few weeks. some his fault and some not. most of it started about the time dr was vocal about simms starting, simms is well respected in the locker room, but i see dr's point. dr has also been vocal about the lack of support alot of the younger guys are not getting from the upperclassmen.

in the office today when things first blew up rumors were flying everywhere. he blew up on dooley, that did not happen.

this will either make dr a much better player for the team next year or he'll be gone. no in betweens. personally i think he'll be back and help the incoming freshman.

when you say upperclassmen, do you mean anyone that is still on the team?

If what yo're saying is true then I totally agree...I could actually see DR turning into the leader on offense that we're looking for...but that's if he responds in a postitive manner to all of this

I'm sure some of it was his fault but it sounds like the upperclassmen were being petty...maybe this will lead to DR not only being a good leader but a good mentor for the newbies next year

Yet another thing a coach did not want to deal with. I mean what coach in their right mind would want to walk into a situation where 1. There was low talent 2. There was no depth 3. The culture was pathetic 4. You would have three sets of players: 1. Recruited by you 2. Recruited by Kiffin and 3. Recruited by Fulmer. Yet somehow people really want to believe the only reason Dooley is here was because Hamilton was cheap ignoring the fact that Haslam and other boosters have their hand in every hire. Dooley was the only one that wanted to be here. Now he has next year to prove himself or he will be gone. I agree with your post thunder, it's refreshing to see the recruiting guys talking some sense.

So is he with the team right now or not?

Exactly. Most good coaches are scared of mean upperclassmen. Happens all the time. Probably why Stoops turned Florida down. He was scared of Shariff Floyd.

I'm honored to be on your subscribed poster list. I would say most good coaches are scared of our upperclassmen. One reason no one wanted to be here.

Skeet

Don't answer this if you think you have said all you can but I have a question that is bothering me. Did DR know he wasn't welcome at the meeting beforehand? If not why on earth was a ga told to tell him? Seems like a job for a higher authority to me.

To your point about DR being a leader. I have seen many times the misunderstand kid turn into the leader of the pack. However very seldom do they conform and follow. So I doubt we find middle ground with DR.
I appreciate your stuff.

The respect level for Dooley would go THROUGH THE ROOF if he did kick DR off the team, and show that he is serious about getting the team chemistry and respect problems under control, but everything so far points to the inmate running the asylum and that isn't good.

Who cares if you respect him? You cry like a little baby because he might not miss any games based on a rumor. How about your boy Brandon Spikes? He tried to permanently blind someone and Meyer sat him out for all of two quarters against Vanderbilt. I'm sure you respected Urban Meyer plenty.
