RUMOR: Da'rick indefintely suspended?

The respect level for Dooley would go THROUGH THE ROOF if he did kick DR off the team, and show that he is serious about getting the team chemistry and respect problems under control, but everything so far points to the inmate running the asylum and that isn't good.
Of course you would think this. Rest assured though, that this really doesn't seem to hold any truth other than just a few of my fellow Volunteer fans spreading garbage that isn't true. This has got to be the craziest thing I've ever seen. Rest assured, however, that Da'rick Rogers will most likely be present to face your team next September to catch a TD pass or two.

I hope Da'rick gets it together or good riddance, and let the next man (Patterson) step up.

LOL, how convenient. "We are suspending you, but you won't miss any games, practices, mandatory bowl meetings, etc."

Give me a break. This is pathetic........you guys know it.

Like when the gators have some of their thugs commit harmed robbery and they always make it back for the TN game . HUH

the blow up rogers had was actually with a ga. dr was going into the meeting and the ga stopped him and told him he wasnt allowed, or something to that effect. thats when things got ugly.

dr has been having issues with alot of the upper classmen for a few weeks. some his fault and some not. most of it started about the time dr was vocal about simms starting, simms is well respected in the locker room, but i see dr's point. dr has also been vocal about the lack of support alot of the younger guys are not getting from the upperclassmen.

in the office today when things first blew up rumors were flying everywhere. he blew up on dooley, that did not happen.

this will either make dr a much better player for the team next year or he'll be gone. no in betweens. personally i think he'll be back and help the incoming freshman.

Thanks for the update Skeeter. It sounds like at the very least things with DR are more complicated then the media have been making it sound. Hopefully, he'll emerge as a team leader next year.

i keep seeing the upperclassmen being mentioned a lot,do you think they were telling ,the newer players to step it up and play ball ? and got a load of flack about it ?

Not sure who you were asking and I darn sure don't know for sure but I will give my guess.

I think the older players that weren't playing were the problem. Thus they gave the young guys the most issue. Skeet has inferred that in a few post is how I formed that guess.

Don't answer this if you think you have said all you can but I have a question that is bothering me. Did DR know he wasn't welcome at the meeting beforehand? If not why on earth was a ga told to tell him? Seems like a job for a higher authority to me.

To your point about DR being a leader. I have seen many times the misunderstand kid turn into the leader of the pack. However very seldom do they conform and follow. So I doubt we find middle ground with DR.
I appreciate your stuff.

I am not Skeet so you can take what I say with a grain of salt. Although I know for a fact that DR was upset and vocal about the QB situation. He feels that Nash has not gotten a fair deal. I stated this in another thread before about it. The DR problems all start with him thinking Nash should have gotten some play time when Bray went down. He was not getting many throws from Simms last year. Then again this year when Simms came in it was more of the same. He felt like with Nash atleast they know each other and he would have had the ball coming his way more often. I have a feeling this is going to end as a wash. I think the offseason this is going to all end and everything get worked out. I do hope that he works on his attitude and looks to put the team first though and start playing that way. I would be willing to bet that if Dooley could have he would have benched him for a game or two this season. Although he couldnt afford to sit him. When Hunter comes back next season I bet we see a different player out there.

Not sure if anyone has posted something like this but it seems that we aren't the only ones dealing with this. Sux that CDD gets so much hate when he came in rushed, and is still trying to get hold of the whole dire situation our program was/is in.

Just found this on a forum/blog deal, from the other day, when trying to see if IC was gonna play or not. Hope DR isn't as bad as this and can straighten out for the best of team and ultimately himself.

Rumor is Crowell is continuing to piss people off at UGA. he's used up his 9th life. Everybody knows he came in as a primadonna, had some attitude problems, whatever. All that seemed to be fine for a while but apparantly it's rearing its head again. That's the reason Richt was mum on the RBs yesterday, because he was flat out fed up with IC. According to those in the know, he acted like a little ***** in practice yesterday and said his ankle was hurt (although he practiced full go mon and tues), so put himself in the green jersey, but didn't want to do what everyone else in green has to do (work out or whatever).

This isn't an isolated incident and coaches and teammates alike have just about had enough. I still expect him to play Saturday, but at the rate he's going and what people are saying it wouldnt' shock me if he doesn't make it to spring. He's used up his last mulligan and I don't really know if he has the brainpower to keep his head on straight.

The seniors, lead by Ben Jones, have had at least 3 violent "chats" with Crowell about his skipping class, being late for therapy, cursing GA's, Coach BM, Professors, other players, and a team Doc.

IC smells like weed about 90% of the time, his clothes reek of ganja, his room stinks like a Kingston traffic cab, and he is glassy eyed in the few classes he attends.

there are reports he is not passing any classes, at all, none, despite all the tutors that he tries to intimidate and fight.

CMR is aware and is sick of the punk. IC's teammates want him gone. McGarity wants him gone.

Some players say it is almost impossible for Crowell to be eligible for spring ball.

Luckily, we have a 5* RB in Keith Marshall coming in but this is awful news.

Alright so without reading through 15 pages, will someone please give me an update. Last I read, the rumor was spreading like wildfire but there was no official word yet. Have we learned any details since then? And I assume this is still a "rumor" since it says rumor is the thread title? thanks

Crowell is a puddin. Watch any game this season and you will see it. He gets hit in the mouth one good time and hes done. This is the same exact way he was in high school. I can atleast say that DR isnt a puddin. He will take the shot and get up and keep going.

I agree. But this isn't about that. This about how they both act off the field. Which is a problem.

Also, he may get up from a hit, but sometimes he doesnt go 100% on plays and that's an issue. If it's a hit and he gets up to prove a pt or a potential big TD/play he is all in. But if it isn't he seems to half a** it.

I agree totally on that. DR is all about what makes him look better. If you read any of my previous posts on him I state that pretty often. He is not a team player yet. Hopefully he can change his mentality this offseason. I get the feeling that he thinks that if Nash would have gotten the shot when Bray went down that he would have gotten more throws his way. YOu cant think like that though. You have to give your all every play no matter if your getting the ball or not. That to me is going to be the make or break thing for him. NFL teams are going to look at his talent next year. He has to realize that they are also looking at his personality.

:good!: Wow...is this what a civil forum discussion is like. :) :hi:

Yeah that whole nance nash deal is what it is and dr does need to remember he's a player and not a coach. You r right that he needs to realize that the NfL has seen the prima donna WRs and they aren't jumping at the chance to pick those up if they can avoid it. Especially when they could look for those dependable little white receivers that are proving to be the difference right now...for dirt cheap too!

Glad to have that cleared up. Too much speculation around here.

It amazes me how people take a small piece of information and create their own story around that information and pass it of as fact.
