RUMOR: Da'rick indefintely suspended?

Off-season suspensions are realy silly. They accomplish nothing imo. It sounds good on paper as Dooley being able to say "See, I'm in charge here." but it really doesn't change anything or teach DR a lesson.

Agreed. When you're a star player, to me it is like my boss saying, "Oh, we're gonna suspend you from work with pay."

Austin Ward: High-level Vols source on Da'Rick Rogers being suspended: "That is not true."

dr will be given time to clear his head, sorta like janzen.
cbb didnt leave because of dr. dr needs to learn how to handle some things better, he got into alot of arguments with upperclassmen this year. some of that came from the way said upperclassmen treated some of the younger players and dr would defend them. and yes sometimes dr thought he was a coach whens things were not going so well, but he wanted to win. he needs to do a much better job of attending class. sry cant get into to many details but thats the jist of a few things. i just dont have the time to explain everything.

Thanks!
GO VOLS!! VFL!!:loco:

I would think even an off season suspension would be embarrasing. I wouldn't wont one. Maybe DR doesn't care.

Da'Rick to Harvard?

Breaking: Rogers follows where Nance Nash leads. Harvard snags Vols top reciever along with a new QB. This all happens immediatly after stories broke about Rogers hurting former WR's coach Charlie Baggett's feelings and making him retire. Dooley has lost control of his team, unlike Vandy coach James Franklin. -Clay Travis

Amazing how some of you sky is falling types are already discussing replacements for a guy that will more than likely be back next year. How long have some of you followed football again?

has anyone even verified dr has been suspended? i have not heard that, but i do know about come to meet jesus meeting he had with the coaches.

LOL, how convenient. "We are suspending you, but you won't miss any games, practices, mandatory bowl meetings, etc."

Give me a break. This is pathetic........you guys know it.

Come on Waco... the Gators are the Kings of off week suspensions... you loved it when Meyer was doing it

So, let me get this straight, Rogers needs to go on a sabbatical to figure out how to "get along." Seems very stupid to me, and sounds like something that should be able to be taken care of in one meeting with the head coach.

You'd think he could have handled this a little better.

Sounds like he's just a bit incompetent, even when he does play a role in recruiting a decent player.

true story..I got called in off of a suspension once! I think they figure out I was enjoying the time off.

If the "time off" is true, it's easy to "discipline" a player when your season is over and you don't need him again until September.
