Getting a lot of enjoyment out of some of you worrying about other teams. It doesn't matter. Did you forget who's coaching UT?
Vols have at least 3/4 more losses.

No one is worrying. I think everyone but maybe a few people at this moment are quite certain what we have here.

This discussion takes place every year, but there's no set number the SEC will have. We hold the tie break over LSU so if it came down to the 2 you'd have to like our odds. I would prefer to add another "good win" than them fall apart and not be a bubble team.

They're a bubble team so we're fighting them for a spot. So, I'd rather all the other bubble teams to have their bubble burst.

Live Rpi has a new Rpi calculator you can use to see how you stand 19 wins gives us a 47 Rpi, 20 a 34. Were really gonna have to choke to not make the tournament. Of course we are quite capable of choking having already lost to Texas A&M and NC State at home and a 7 player Vandy team on the road. Here is a link to that new Rpi wizard.

For about 3 weeks now, we have been lowering the expectations and the standards. The plain fact is, we will probably be fortunate to win 17, much less 19.

While we should be favored in all but one or 2 games, the reality is that there will be at least two other games we will end up losing due to the apathy of the players, lack of support in the stands and D-2 coaching capability.

4 months ago we were talking SEC champion. This team may not even make the NIT. Sorry, Charlie!!

According to this you could lose to FL, @MZ and Miss st and still have an RPI 44.
Not sure I buy it.

Nobody has lowered their expectations. They just haven't given up on these players to reach the goal the only people who matter laid out: making the NCAA. And yes, that's Martin and his boss that made that goal.

Now, as far as the fans' expectations, no it isn't as good. Every one has said so. But, they don't just don't get on here crying and complaining like some. Big difference.

The Vols will most likely lose to Florida at home and drop both to Mizzou. If that happens, then I dont see the Vols making the dance.

Well, I think the fans matter and I don't think people on this board are whining, they are just totally frustrated and disappointed because most of them realize that if we can't win with this team, we have little expectation of winning in the near future.

I am hoping that Martin and his boss were expecting to do a little better than just making the tourney. I hope they were expecting to make a good run in the tourney with 2 NBA players and 3 other very experienced returning starters!! JMO

The florida game will likely be the difference. Beat florida and 11-7 should do it. Lose to Florida and it will probably take 12-6 to be in barring the SEC tourney. So basically a loss to Florida and they will have to go 6-1 down the stretch vs a very doable 4-3 or so with a win over florida.

Florida State also lost in addition to Providence. We need Arizona State to beat Oregon.
