1 Quad 1 victory. That isn't cutting it. Baseball committee has been pretty consistent over the years when it comes to rpi and scheduling. I think they missed a chance to leave KY out and say publicly "cancellation of midweek games is prohibited" but eh. I think it also shows TN would have been safe at 13 SEC wins.Mercer got the shaft

NCAA Selection Committee Makes Mockery Of Mid-Major Success With 2026 Baseball Tournament Field
Mercer seemed to do everything asked of mid-majors in 2026 to make the NCAA Tournament, but didn't. Jacob Rudner shares his thoughts on the snub.www.baseballamerica.com
USC has a quad 1 record of 1-11. Pathetic.1 Quad 1 victory. That isn't cutting it. Baseball committee has been pretty consistent over the years when it comes to rpi and scheduling. Typical NCAA. They would have hit us.1 Quad 1 victory. That isn't cutting it. Baseball committee has been pretty consistent over the years when it comes to rpi and scheduling. Kentucky should have been punished for canceling the midweek game, but their SOS is so much better than Vandy's. UK played 12 Q4 games while Vandy played 20. That means UK played some midweek teams and OOC series with decent records. These things matter. That's why I don't like playing teams that only win 11-15 games. As we've discussed, the RPI is flawed.I don’t feel a bit sorry for vandy but they beat Kentucky 3/4 times this year and had just as many SEC wins.
Pretty ridiculous to pick Kentucky over them, especially considering that Kentucky pulled that RPI stunt last midweek of the season.
Truth be told they both deserved to be left at home. Would have much rather seen someone from a mid major in that spot.
