I'm the only one predicting a sweep? I think the Spurs and Pacers could sweep as well.

Both are somewhat likely. I just felt like 5 games was more likely.

Yeah, sweeps are hard to pull off. Most teams can't do it during the regular season against bad teams but doing it 4 times in a row against a good team isn't easy. Bulls had the best record in the NBA last year and the Heat were 2nd in the East. They dropped a game to the Sixers(41-41) and the Pacers (37-54). A sweep is likely but it's hard to pick where it will happen. I don't fault people for not picking sweeps. I would have picked the Bulls/Heat sweeping the Pacers/Sixers before I picked the Mavs sweeping the Lakers and it's not even close.

Sweeps usually only happen when a team quits. I don't see a quitter in the bunch except the hawks and I think they'll win a game.

Bulls are going to have their hands full. I think the 76ers are a lot better than their record indicates. FWIW, I think the Bulls go at least to ECF.

Just read an article from a few hours ago that quotes Horford saying he's playing in the 1st round. That could change everything. Given the Celtics lack of depth and old age, their starters are going to have to play about 40mpg imo and I'm not sure how they'll hold up. Horford even for 15-20 min a game could really make a difference in this series. He's big, athletic and can shoot. Guess it depends on how he looks in his return, if he does in fact return.

Celtics in 7 should be the best series

Definitely could change things. He's their best player, IMO.

I'll tell ya the biggest factor. Boston is gonna play like there is no tomorrow. They are going to leave it all out on the court in this year's playoffs, because Allen, Garnett, Pierce, and Rondo know this is their last year together. Danny Ainge is going to breakup the team in the offseason and go into full rebuilding mode.

This Boston team is old and definitely not as talented or as deep as the previous teams with this core, but they are going to play their hearts out. Besides my team, the team I am looking forward to watching the most is Boston. It's gonna be fun watching them knowing it's their last shot.

I don't see quitting being a problem for the Hawks . . . and they've got homecourt advantage. I'm definitely a homer, but I'm just not seeing these picks of Boston in 5 or 6. This is going to be a very competitive series.

Playing 6 of a possible 7 isn't competitive? :p

It can be . . . but there's a definite sense that the Celtics/Hawks series is a foregone conclusion.

I picked the Hawks in 7 because I'm hoping for the Hawks to beat the Celtics. I do think if it weren't for that I probably would have picked Boston. I'm hoping Horford will play well enough to make a difference. Odds are, he'll struggle after missing most of the season. We'll see though.
