Next year is going to be a rough year. 9 conference games, new QB, installing new defense, etc.

Best thing we can do is just go in and expect it to be a retooling year.

That being said, I want us to determine who our QB is for the next 2-3 years and make that person the starter to learn the system so hopefully they will master the offense at the same time the defense starts to show top 10-20 stats.

We are not going to be successful long-term with the rent-a-QB strategy.

Well let's see sports fans...how many transfers have Rocked out in the past 3 years...I will sit with my popcorn and watch this considerable list grow .

They didn’t play GMac due to his size. Was discussed with GMac and his family before the season.

Issue with the portal is 1)money and 2)getting people to want to come here. They offered Branch more money than Georgia but he never had interest in coming here. It’s not just about being the highest bidder. Also some positions there’s just not a lot of SEC starter quality there in portal

However, that's not the point of this post.

Why are we wasting snaps on Merklinger when we have a prized QB sitting on the bench?

Before Covid, college basketball was ruled by whoever could land the best one and done athletes. Super seniors and the transfer portal completely flipped that narrative..

I’m wondering if we aren’t witnessing something similar in football. All the SEC head coaches who got hired because they could recruit high schoolers and run creative offenses aren’t doing so well in the post season.
